🚨 ATTENTION MALAYSIA: Cyber Attacks are on the Rise! 🚨

Did you know that Malaysia is now the 3rd most targeted country in Southeast Asia for cyber exploits? 😱

According to new data from Kaspersky reported by Bernama, our nation saw over 416,000 threats in 2025 alone. That’s a 40% jump from the previous year!

What does this mean for you?

Attackers are looking for "open windows" in your digital home or office. They specifically target:
✅ Outdated software (Apps you haven't updated in a while).
✅ Remote work connections (RDP) that aren't properly secured.

3 Quick Tips to Stay Safe:
1️⃣ Update NOW: When your phone or laptop asks to install an update, do it immediately. These updates often contain "security patches" that block these exact exploits.
2️⃣ Use Stronger Logins: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on all business and personal accounts.
3️⃣ Close the Door: If you don’t need remote access turned on, disable it.

Don't let your business or personal data be part of the next statistic. Share this with your colleagues and friends to keep them informed! 🛡️

Is your antivirus actually protecting you? 🛡️💻

A troubling new report shows that hackers have found ways to exploit Microsoft Defender on Windows 10 and 11.

Instead of stopping threats, the vulnerabilities allow attackers to use the antivirus software to take over your computer!

The Quick Facts:
❌ 3 Exploits were discovered by security researchers.
❌ 2 remain unpatched, meaning there isn't a "fix" for them just yet.
❌ Hackers can gain "SYSTEM" access, giving them total control over a device.

What should you do?
1️⃣ Update Now: Microsoft has already patched one of the major flaws (BlueHammer). Check your Windows Update settings and install any pending updates immediately.
2️⃣ Be Alert: Cybercriminals often use these exploits after gaining initial entry through phishing or weak passwords.
3️⃣ Watch for Updates: Keep an eye out for upcoming "Patch Tuesday" releases from Microsoft to fix the remaining issues.

Cybersecurity is a moving target. Don't let your guard down! 🛡️

Although the team with Microsoft moved swiftly to patch the BlueHammer vulnerability, other exploits still threaten Microsoft Defender and Windows users.

⚠️ Don't scan that code! Microsoft warns of a massive surge in "Quishing."

A new report from Microsoft reveals they flagged a staggering 8.3 billion phishing emails in the first three months of 2026. But it’s not just about the number of emails, it’s about how they’ve changed:

📸 The QR Code Trap: Attackers are moving away from links and using QR codes instead. Why? Because they are harder for security software to "read," and they trick you into using your personal phone, where you might not have company security filters.

🧩 Fake CAPTCHAs: Those "Verify you are human" boxes? Hackers are now using fake versions to hide malicious files from security bots, making the site look "safe" to the average user.

💼 Simple Lures: Business scams are becoming more conversational. Instead of a "bank alert," you might get a simple "Hi, are you free?" from a fake executive account.

How to stay safe:
✅ Be skeptical of QR codes in emails.
✅ Use multi-factor authentication (MFA) that is "phishing-resistant" (like security keys).
✅ Never click or scan anything from an unexpected "Invoice" or "Payment" email without verifying the source.

Stay vigilant! 🛡️

Malaysia is Levelling Up its AI & Cyber Defences! 🇲🇾✨

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently highlighted that as AI gets smarter, so must our national security.

With new AI models now able to find "holes" in software systems, staying safe online is more important than ever.

What does this mean for Malaysia?
✅ Stronger Protection: The National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) is stepping up to guard our digital borders.
✅ Data Sovereignty: The PM emphasized that Malaysia will keep full control over how our data is managed and used.
✅ Innovation Hub: A new Huawei AI Lab and Innovation Centre has launched in KL to help train Malaysians in the latest AI tech!

The government is committed to ensuring that, as we move toward a digital future, no one is left vulnerable.

Together, we are building a more resilient and tech-savvy Malaysia.

Stop! 🛑

Before you put that wet phone in a bowl of rice, read this!

"Ridiculous Tech Myths"

Did you know:
✅ Closing apps on your iPhone doesn’t actually save battery? (It can actually use more power when you restart them!)
✅ Expensive HDMI cables are almost never worth it. A $10 cable usually works just as well as a $100 one.
✅ Macs CAN get viruses. They aren’t invincible, so keep that software updated!

It’s time to stop listening to "campfire stories" about our gadgets and start treating them right. 📱💻

Having trouble updating Windows 11? You aren't alone! 🖥️⚠️

Microsoft has hit the "pause" button on its latest Windows 11 update after users reported it was failing to install, often getting stuck with a frustrating error message (Error 0x80073712).

The update was supposed to add cool new features like better monitor support and a new "About" page, but instead, it’s left many people staring at a frozen progress bar.

What you need to know:
✅ Microsoft is aware of the bug and is working on a fix.
✅ They have pulled the update from Windows Update for now so it won't cause more issues.
✅ If your computer is working fine, you don't need to do anything—just wait for the official "clean" version to be released in the coming days.

Is your Google Chrome up to date?

If you use Google Chrome, you need to take a minute to update it right now.

Google has confirmed that hackers are already exploiting two "zero-day" security flaws that could allow them to crash your browser or even run malicious code on your computer just by having you visit a "poisoned" website.

Because Chrome is used by billions of people, these kinds of attacks are a favorite for cybercriminals.

How to update manually (it only takes 30 seconds):
1️⃣ Open Chrome on your computer.
2️⃣ Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
3️⃣ Hover over Help and click About Google Chrome.
4️⃣ Chrome will automatically check for the update. When it's done, click Relaunch.

Check your version today and make sure you're protected! 💻🔒

⚠️ Important Security Update for Windows Users!

Did you know that even a simple app like Notepad can be a target for hackers? 😱

Microsoft recently added new features to Notepad, but those changes introduced a security flaw.

By using a specially crafted file, hackers could potentially run malicious code on your computer just by getting you to open a link within the app.

How to protect yourself in 3 easy steps:
✅ Update Now: Go to your Settings > Windows Update and click "Check for updates." Microsoft has already released a "patch" to fix this.
✅ Stay Automatic: Make sure automatic updates are turned on so your computer fixes these issues in the background.
✅ Don't Click Random Links: Just because a file opens in Notepad doesn't mean it's safe. Be careful with files sent by people you don't know.

Keep your PC safe and your data private! 🔒
