Thank you for dropping by our meet-up activity with Shinobu Karaki, President and Designer of Aurorasound Japan on 21st March 2026 at the Love Sanctuary showroom in Adelphi.

Karaki-san covered several interesting points including:

We also held a demo with the Aurorasound Vida MkII phonostage and HFSA-02 EL34 integrated amplifier.

The Vida MkII is one of the very few phonostages that adopt LCR-type RIAA equalisation. Most phonostages are CR-type(capacitor and resistor only) as L(inductor) is expensive and not easy to maintain consistency in inductance factor during mass production. Aurorasound requested the famous Swedish company Lundahl to develop special inductors for the Vida MkII to ensure high quality and reliability. The advantage of LCR-type RIAA equalisation is low distortion and high resolution in the low frequencies and excellence in reproducing the spatial 3D sound images.

The HFSA-02 is the latest Aurorasound product released in October 2025 and received the prestigious Stereo Sound Grand Prix 2025 award. It is an orthodox style integrated amplifier composed of full-stage vacuum tubes: input stage ECC83, ECC82, output EL34(6CA7) push-pull and Lundahl output transformer with UL connection to produce 31W+31W output power.
