Driving Innovation, Empowering Future Talent | MAIC Nexus Challenge 2026

On 13 October 2026, Jonas Tan, Managing Director of 57 CODEBOX, had the privilege of being invited as one of the nine judges for the MAIC Nexus Challenge 2026 Semi-Final, held at Hextar Hall, Level 17, Hextar Tower, Kuala Lumpur.

Under the theme “Ideas Today • Impact Tomorrow,” the challenge brought together innovative minds to explore high-potential ideas and technology-driven solutions across six industry tracks, including deep tech, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure.

The competition attracted 130 team registrations, with 30 shortlisted teams competing in the semi-final and 10 teams advancing to the Grand Final. The event provided a valuable platform for university students and emerging innovators to showcase their creativity, technical capabilities, and potential to turn ideas into practical solutions.

For Jonas, being part of the judging panel was an opportunity to witness the next generation of innovators challenging conventional thinking and contributing fresh perspectives to Malaysia’s growing technology and innovation ecosystem.
