Another milestone in strengthening academia–industry collaboration.

We are proud to announce that 3D Gens, together with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), has successfully secured another project under CREST to develop an Additive Manufacturing (AM) Module for Medical Devices.

The adoption of Additive Manufacturing in healthcare has grown tremendously over the past decade, enabling the development of patient-specific implants, surgical guides, anatomical models, and innovative medical devices that improve clinical outcomes and accelerate innovation.

This project reflects our shared commitment to developing industry-relevant talent, advancing AM education, and equipping future engineers, researchers, and medical professionals with practical knowledge that aligns with the needs of the medical device industry.

Bridging the gap between the classroom and the real world.

Proud to collaborate with CIAST in the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) & Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) Master Trainer Programme, welcoming participants to the 3D Gens facility for an immersive industry experience.

Beyond the theory, participants had the opportunity to witness industrial additive manufacturing in action, explore our production workflow, and get up close with our industrial SLM metal 3D printers and SLS polymer 3D printing systems. Understanding the technology in a real manufacturing environment is essential in preparing the next generation of skilled AM professionals.
