A very good morning and happy new week to you.
It’s been great and thrilling going through the lines of this great book “Awaken the Giant within” by Anthony Robbins. Indeed the book have revealed a lot of secrets and principles that guides effective living and potential maximization. The first 100 pages of this wonderful book covers the following headings :
DECISIONS: THE PATHWAY TO POWER12
THE FORCE THAT SHAPES YOUR LIFE28
BELIEF SYSTEMS: 44
CAN CHANGE HAPPEN IN AN INSTANT? 69
OF NEURO-ASSOCIATIVE CONDITIONING™80
Time will fail us to explore extensively into the details of each of these heading above, but lets see the much we can gain from there
The first Chapter talks of about Dreams of Destiny and how to make a lasting change. In this Anthony tries to look into how to fulfill dreams, aspirations and purpose, beaming into the joy that comes with accomplishment of desires and dreams. He used himself as a model of accomplishment. He further went into principles and steps that leads to a lasting change, which basically include; Raise your standard, change your limiting believes and change your strategy. He also talked about the masteries of life upon which greatness is built. These masteries include; emotional mastery, physical mastery, relationship mastery, financial mastery and time mastery. Each of these play a vital role in fulfilling purpose and destiny.
Chapter two talks about Decision; the pathway to power. He tries to look critically into what makes the difference between those who accomplish their dreams in life and those who don’t, factoring the key element as decision and commitment. He stated that many people in life know what to do, but only a few does what they know. He further stressed that is not enough to decision what action to take in life to make success, but commitment to doing that which has been decided is a key factor to making success.
Some of his direct words on this chapter read, “Think for a moment. Is there a difference between being interested in something, and being committed to it? You bet there is! Many times people say things like, "Gosh, I really would like to make more money," or "I'd like to be closer to my kids," or "You know, I'd really like to make a difference in the world." But that kind of statement is not a commitment at all. It's merely stating a preference, saying, "I'm interested in having this happen, if I don't have to do anything." That's not power! It's a weak prayer made without even the faith to launch it.Nothing can resist the human will that will stake even its existence on itsstated purpose.
