We have added a new role-based notification system across EduTrack.
What is new:
- Header alerts now show real activity notifications, not only messages.
- A new Notification Center has been added where users can view recent alerts and mark them as read.
- Admins can now control notifications by role and module from Notification Settings.
- Optional PWA push notifications can be enabled for mobile and PC users.
- Users must allow notifications on their device before PWA push alerts can work.
What users will now be notified about:
- Teacher posts lesson material or assignment: students and parents get notified.
- Teacher schedules live class or adds recording: students and parents get notified.
- Student submits assignment: teacher gets notified.
- CBT is published or scheduled: students and parents get notified.
- Student submits CBT: teacher/exam creator gets notified.
- Invoice is generated: parents get notified.
- Payment is approved or rejected: parents get notified.
- Student mood is low or keeps dropping: counsellor gets notified, with admin fallback.
- Attendance absence is recorded: parents get notified.
- Transport trip starts, pickup/drop-off/absence/exception is recorded, or incident is reported: parents/admins get notified as needed.
How it works:
The red alert icon in the header shows unread notifications.
Clicking it opens a quick alert list.
Users can open the full Notification Center to see all recent alerts.
Admins can enable or disable notification modules per role.
PWA push is disabled by default and must be enabled in School Settings before users can opt in.
This improves communication between teachers, students, parents, counsellors, finance, transport, and school admins across EduTrack.
A school owner needs to see this!
