In Nigeria, countless women have brilliant business ideas, but limited access to funding, mentorship, and digital skills often holds them back. These barriers make it difficult to grow, scale, or compete in today’s market.
On 10th December 2025, over 35 determined women entrepreneurs took a bold first step at the RevUp Women Initiative onboarding session, hosted at Wootlab Innovations’ office in Abuja. The initiative is a project of AfriLabs (), implemented in partnership with Wootlab Innovations and supported by the Visa Foundation.
The onboarding session marked the official launch of the programme, which will feature a 12-week capacity-building journey starting in January. The programme will be delivered primarily through physical sessions at the Wootlab Innovations office. The RevUp Women Initiative aims to empower 150 women-led agribusiness and e-commerce ventures across Lagos, Abia State, and the FCT, with a total of $24,000 in funding available to support six outstanding ventures.
During the onboarding, participants explored the RevUp Afrique AI platform, connected with peers, and prepared to engage in strategic planning, financial management, digital transformation, and inclusive business practices. Wootlab Innovations provides the learning infrastructure, mentorship, and seamless programme management, ensuring participants have the tools and guidance needed to thrive.
This onboarding session was more than an event; it was a launchpad for turning challenges into opportunities, equipping Nigerian women entrepreneurs with the confidence, skills, and support to innovate, scale, and lead.
