Tip #5:
Make sure you clean your PC at least once in a month. Always ensure your PC maintains constant temperature during its work period; overheating decreases the PC's longevity while cooling increases its longevity.
Note: Placing your laptop on a couch or bed causes overheating while working.

Tip #4:
Keep all units/parts inside the computer, outside computer peripherals or components, monitors/screens dust free. Accumulation of dust inside a PC will cause headache to your PC as well as you. Use a slightly damp clean soft cloth to clean your PC. The more your PC is clean & tidy, the healthier it is.

Tip #3:
Make sure there are no loose contacts. Loose contacts can cause sparks which can damage your PC. Turn off your computer immediately then engage a Computer Engineer for help or reconnect and fix it or replace the sockets if required (if you have the technical know how).

Tip #2:
Make sure the wall sockets/electric boxes where you connect your PC power cable have a good ground connection. A bad ground connection may damage your computer processor(CPU) as well as your peripherals/components connected to it. The electric feedback may be bad for your PC.
So make sure your PC is well grounded before operating. Contact an electrician to make sure the ground socket pins are earthed.
