NACCIMA Unveils Business and Investment Forum 3.0 to Deepen Nigeria-China Economic Partnership

• Calls On Governors, FG Agencies, Private Institutions To Explore Investment Opportunities Through The High-Level Event Organised By NACCIMA

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), has announced the third edition of its Business and Investment Forum, reaffirming its commitment to attracting sustainable foreign direct investment and strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and China.

The announcement was made by NACCIMA’s National Public Relations Officer, Madinat Adigun-Oladotun, who disclosed that the forum would be held in Guangzhou, China, on the sidelines of the 140th Canton Fair, one of the world’s largest and most influential international trade exhibitions.

According to her, the forum is designed to strategically connect Nigeria with leading Chinese investors, manufacturers, industrialists and business executives across diverse sectors of the economy to unlock new investment opportunities and drive national economic growth.

The National PRO added that the Business and Investment Forum in Guanghzou is also a key strategy of NACCIMA to attract valuable and sustainable economic opportunities that will accelerate the actualisation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda of taking Nigeria's economy to One Trillion Dollar by 2030.

She stressed that Nigeria must move beyond being merely a consumer market and position itself as a preferred destination for investment, manufacturing, value addition and industrial development.

“Nigeria has the population, natural resources, entrepreneurial spirit and strategic location to serve as the gateway to the African market. To become an economic powerhouse, we must deliberately accelerate industrialisation by prioritising local manufacturing, innovation, value-added processing and reducing our dependence on imports,” she said.

Adigun-Oladotun noted that achieving this vision would require strategic investments, improved infrastructure, access to finance, advanced technology and strong international partnerships.

She explained that NACCIMA established the Business and Investment Forum in Guangzhou to build lasting bridges between Nigeria and credible Chinese investors committed to mutually beneficial partnerships.

Reflecting on the successes of the previous two editions, she said the initiative has laid a solid foundation for long-term collaboration with members of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), Guangzhou, with the active support of the Consul General of Nigeria in Guangzhou, Ambassador Mairo Musa Abbas.

According to her, the collaboration is already facilitating investment opportunities in critical sectors including automobile and electric vehicle manufacturing, agribusiness, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, industrial park development and other strategic industries.

She called on stakeholders across the federal, state and local governments, as well as private sector leaders, to participate in the trade mission and leverage the platform to attract quality investments, promote technology transfer, strengthen local manufacturing, encourage skills development and create sustainable employment opportunities.

The NACCIMA spokesperson also urged state governments to showcase their investment potential by registering for the forum, describing it as a unique opportunity to engage directly with credible Chinese investors and secure partnerships aligned with their comparative economic advantages by collaborating with NACCIMA,with the organised private sectors.

Describing Guangzhou as one of the world’s leading commercial and manufacturing centres and home to the globally renowned Canton Fair, Adigun-Oladotun encouraged Nigerian businesses and investors to join the trade mission.

She expressed confidence that the initiative would foster strategic partnerships capable of shaping Nigeria’s economic future and accelerating the country’s industrial transformation.
