Community Announcement
Good afternoon, everyone.
First and most importantly, we want to say thank you.
Thank you for being part of the Nextserve community. Whether you are a student who passed through our doors, a parent who trusted us with your child's development, an alumnus building a career with skills you learned here, or simply someone who has followed our journey, we do not take your support for granted. Fourteen years of operation is not possible without a community that believes in what you are building. We believe in this one deeply, and we are grateful for every part you have played in it.
Today, we want to be transparent with you about something important. Something is changing at Nextserve, and we want you to hear it from us directly.
What Is Happening
On the 1st of April 2026, we made a deliberate decision to restructure, restrategise, and reposition Nextserve for the next chapter of its growth. This is not a reaction to a crisis. It is a calculated decision made from a position of strength, fourteen years of experience, a proven curriculum, and a community we are proud of, to ensure that Nextserve continues to serve you at the highest possible standard in an education and technology landscape that is changing faster than ever before.
Nigeria's technology sector is evolving rapidly. The skills that employers are demanding today are different from what they demanded five years ago. The way students learn best has changed. The competition for quality technology education has intensified. We have watched all of this carefully, and we have made the decision to evolve alongside it rather than stand still.
What follows is a transparent account of exactly what is changing and what it means for you.
What Is Changing
Our Programmes and Curriculum
We have conducted a thorough review of every programme we offer. Some content has been retired because it no longer reflects the current realities of the technology industry. New content has been introduced to replace it. Where gaps existed, we have filled them.
One of the most important changes is the introduction of a structured prerequisite system. Learning technology is not a straight line; it is a progression, and we believe that every student who comes through Nextserve deserves to be on the right path from day one. Going forward, when you enquire about a programme, we will assess where you currently are and ensure you are placed in the programme that genuinely serves your goals. If a prerequisite programme is needed first, we will tell you clearly and honestly, because arriving at a course unprepared does not serve you.
The goal is simple: every person who passes through Nextserve leaves job-ready.
Our Delivery System
We are introducing a Cohort-Based Delivery Model for our technology programmes. This replaces the open enrollment walk-in system that we have operated until now.
A cohort means a defined group of students who begin a programme together, learn together, and complete it together. There is a published start date, a published end date, a structured schedule, and a peer group you belong to from day one. Research consistently shows that students who learn in cohorts complete their programmes at significantly higher rates and develop stronger professional networks than those who learn in isolation. We are implementing this because we want you to finish, not just start.
Selected programmes will now also be available online, allowing students across Nigeria who cannot attend in person to participate in the same structured cohort experience. The first programmes to go online are Fullstack Web Development and Front-End Web Development.
Our Website
Our website is currently being rebuilt from the ground up. The new website will allow you to browse all our programmes, see cohort dates and fees, and complete your enrollment and payment entirely online. It will be live soon and we will announce it here when it is ready.
What Is Coming
Pilot Cohort Launch β June 2026
We are launching our first structured cohort in June 2026, covering Fullstack Web Development and Front-End Web Development. Both programmes will be available online.
As a thank you to the community that has supported us through this transition, we are offering a 20% discount on both programmes for this pilot cohort. Enrollment details and the registration link will be shared here very shortly. Spaces are limited.
The Affiliate Referral Programme
We are launching a structured referral programme open to everyone, alumni, current students, parents, and community members alike. When you refer someone who successfully enrolls in one of our programmes, you earn a reward. You will receive a unique referral code that tracks every enrollment you generate, and your reward increases as your referrals grow.
Full details on the programme structure, the reward tiers, and the eligible courses will be communicated shortly. If you are interested in participating, watch this space.
The Pitch Contest
We are launching our first Pitch Contest, a creative competition open to anyone who wants to create content that represents Nextserve. Whether you are a graphic designer, a video creator, or a writer, this is your opportunity to showcase your talent and win. The contest will run annually, and we are running a pilot edition now in preparation for the June cohort launch.
Full details on the contest format, submission criteria, judging process, and prizes will be announced shortly.
Student Feedback and Appraisal
We have always listened to our students, but we are formalizing that commitment. We will be introducing a structured student appraisal process through which you can share feedback, raise concerns, and make suggestions about your experience at Nextserve. Your feedback directly shapes how we operate and improve.
Our email address [email protected] is also open for suggestions and concerns at any time.
Our Public Roadmap
In the spirit of transparency that has always defined how we operate, we will be publishing our institutional roadmap. This will show you where Nextserve is today and where we are going, the milestones we are working toward, the programmes we are developing, and the vision we are building toward. We believe you deserve to know the direction of the institution you are part of.
A Personal Word
Change of this scale requires honesty about why it is happening. Nextserve has always had the substance, the curriculum, the experience, the instructors, and the commitment to student outcomes. What we are building now is the system that lets the world see that substance clearly.
We are not starting over; rather, we are building forward from fourteen years of genuine work, with greater structure, greater visibility, and a deeper commitment to the outcomes that matter: students who finish what they start, graduates who are genuinely ready for the industry, and a community that is proud to be associated with the institution they came through.
We are grateful you are part of this journey. The best of Nextserve is ahead.
The Nextserve Team
We are launching a structured referral programme open to everyone, alumni, current students, parents, and community members alike. When you refer someone who successfully enrols in one of our programmes, you earn a reward. You will receive a unique referral code that tracks every enrollment you generate, and your reward increases as your referrals grow.
