AI can create a beautiful design. But that doesn't automatically make it a good brand design.

We've entered a time where you can type a prompt and get something that looks amazing in seconds.

Flashy effects.
Perfect lighting.
Beautiful mockups.
Crazy visuals.

But here's the thing...

Your brand doesn't need to look flashy. It needs to look like your brand.

AI can help with ideas, visuals, and even speed up the design process.

But it doesn't replace understanding your business, your audience, your message, and what makes you different.

Because a design can get attention and still say nothing about your brand.

So if you're a business owner, don't just ask:

"Can AI make me a design?"

Ask:

"Does this design actually communicate who we are and why people should choose us?"

That's where strategy comes in.

AI is a powerful tool.

But the tool shouldn't be the one deciding what your brand should say.

A design project that means a lot to me. 🙌🔥

I was privileged to get contacted by someone from the Smade team to create a brand flyer for Timaya show, an opportunity I genuinely appreciated because Timaya is an artiste I admire a lot.

So, I knew I had to bring my best to this one. 💛

I focused on achieving that premium simplicity, keeping the design clean, bold and attention-grabbing while still making sure the information was easy to digest.

And honestly, I’m really proud of how the final design turned out. ❤️‍🔥

Being able to create a design for someone I’ve admired for years is one of those moments that reminds me why I love what I do.

Some days the progress is obvious, other days it feels like nothing is happening. But as long as we're still showing up, we're moving. 💛

Today, I'm choosing to focus on the work, learn something new, and take one more step toward my goals.

I literally rejected a design job because the client needed it urgently.

Sounds crazy, right?😁

But one thing I've learned from being a graphic designer is that rushing a design doesn't always give you your best work.

When I'm under too much pressure to deliver immediately, I find myself focusing more on finishing than actually thinking through the design.

And when the design isn't properly thought through, that's when the corrections start coming. One correction… two… three… before you know it, you're on correction number seven. 😂

That's why, whenever possible, I prefer to take my time, understand the project, think through the idea, and give the design the attention it deserves.

Urgent work can be good, and sometimes it's necessary.

But for me, good design needs room to breathe.

I'd rather deliver something I'm proud of than rush something just to meet a deadline.

I never really knew I was going to become a graphic designer. 💛

I just loved seeing how colours, pictures and text could come together and make something beautiful.

One day, I picked up my phone, downloaded PixelLab and started playing around with it. 😁

My first designs? Let’s not talk about them. 😂

I posted them anyway, and even though the engagement was small, it gave me this little confidence that made me say, “Okay, I think I can actually do this.”

So I kept learning. I kept creating. I kept posting.

And honestly, consistency did more for me than talent ever could.

I’m still learning today, but looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

So if you’re starting something and it feels like nobody is noticing yet, keep going.

Your beginning might be small, but that doesn’t mean your story will remain small.
