Protect Your Facebook Account from Hackers Using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Facebook for better account security:

In today's Tech Tips post, we will be looking at how to keep your Facebook account Secured.

Step 1: Log in to Your Facebook Account

Step 2: Go to Settings & Privacy
Tap the menu (☰)
Scroll down and tap Settings & privacy > Settings.
Step 3: Navigate to Security and Login**

1. In the Settings menu find Security and login.
2. Look for the Two-Factor Authentication section.

Step 4: Set Up Two-Factor Authentication

1. Under Two-Factor Authentication, click Use two-factor authentication**.
2. You’ll be asked to enter your password to continue.

Step 5: Choose Your 2FA Method

Facebook gives you three main options:

1. Authentication App (Recommended)
Install apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Duo Mobile.

2. Text Message (SMS)
Add your phone number if not already added.

Facebook will send a code via SMS to verify.

Use a physical USB/NFC security key for login on supported devices.

1. After selecting your method and verifying, 2FA will be enabled.
2. Facebook will give you backup codes—save them in a safe place in case you lose access to your phone.

Step 7: Test It

1. Log out of Facebook.
2. Try logging in again; you should be prompted for the 2FA code.

HOW I BUILT A RESULT ENTRY TEMPLATE ON MS EXCEL SPREADSHEET

I had a project involving Microsoft Word and Microsoft Publisher with a tight deadline. The Publisher part required manual data entry, calculation, and formatting, which was time-consuming. Given the short deadline of 2 days, I considered using a mobile phone for data entry but found that MS Publisher isn't supported on mobile, and other mobile-supported software required purchase.

Inspiration struck, and I decided to replicate the template in Microsoft Excel, which can automatically generate calculations and is mobile-supported. After initial struggles with formula errors, I completed the template after figuring out the issue was due to version compatibility (MS-2016 vs. 2019).

FEATURES OF THE TEMPLATE

1. Automated Total, average, grade, and remark
2. Records can be analyzed using charts
3. User-friendly: Easy to use by everyone
4. Mobile supported
5. High Accuracy: Excel automatically calculates figures
6. Speed: User has minimal tasks while Excel does the rest
7. Direct Printing: Get a hard copy of processed data

WHERE TO USE THIS TEMPLATE

1. Data entry jobs
2. Schools for result entry
3. Financial institutions

What to Do to Prevent Your Devices from Lagging

We've often experienced or heard people make statements like, "My phone or PC is lagging, hanging, or freezing." This experience can be annoying, especially when you're in a hurry to complete a task on your device. Device lagging refers to the process by which your device's processing speed becomes slower in executing tasks due to various factors. In today's Tech Tips, we'll explore how to address these factors to maximize your device's processing speed.

Here are some tips to boost your PC or phone's processing speed:

For PCs:

1. Close unnecessary programs: Close any programs you're not using to free up memory and CPU resources. Whenever you launch a program or app, it consumes a portion of your device's memory, and the more programs you open, the more memory space is consumed, which tends to slow down your processing speed.
2. Update your operating system: Regular updates often include performance improvements.
3. Add more RAM: Low RAM capacity can reduce processing speed, while increasing RAM can significantly improve performance, especially for resource-intensive programs.
4. Use a solid-state drive (SSD): SSDs, being modern storage solutions, are much faster than traditional hard drives.
5. Disable startup programs: Prevent unnecessary programs from launching at startup.
6. Clear temporary files: Regularly clear temporary files and system caches.
7. Update drivers: Outdated drivers can slow down your PC.

For Phones:

1. Close unused apps: Regularly close apps you're not using.
2. Update your operating system: Keep your OS up-to-date for performance improvements.
3. Clear cache and data: Regularly clear app caches and data.
4. Uninstall unused apps: Remove apps you no longer use.
5. Free up storage space: Ensure you have enough free storage space.
6. Restart your phone regularly: Restarting your phone can help clear memory and improve performance.
