Basic Information
Applicants must be a Nigerian citizen by birth and possess a National Identity Card.
Possess a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB. One of the credits must be in English Language.
In addition to the above qualification, those applying for Tradesmen/women must also possess OND/Trades Test/City and Guild Certificate.
Be between the ages of 18 – 22 years for non-tradesmen/women while tradesmen/women must be between the ages of 18 – 26 ears by 18 February 2019.
Not be less than 1.68 metres and 1.62 metres tall for male and female candidates
Knowledge of additional Nigerian language other than mothers tongue is an added advantage.
ALL DOCUMENTS WILL BE VERIFIED FROM THE APPROPRIATE ISSUING AUTHORITY. ALL THOSE WITH FAKE DOCUMENTS WILL BE HANDED OVER TO THE POLICE FOR PROSECUTION.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
There will be no Pre-selection Computer Based Test to be conducted on candidates.
No special centre for recruitment.
There will no Zonal Screening Exercise.
All screening of potential recruits will be done at the candidates’ respective state of origin.
Any candidates who falsifies or forges his/her results and discovered even during training at Deport NA would be withdrawn.
All candidates are to report to the Screening Centres with their bank Verification Number Printout.

Digital Livelihood Training for Young Women
The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) with support from the U.S. Embassy, Abuja will implement the second phase of the Digital Livelihood Project for young women and Girls in Kano.
The aim of the project is to produce female digital entrepreneurs. This will be accomplished through a series of training programmes, business development clinics and entrepreneurship mentoring as well as linkage to business support agencies and organizations, over approximately a three month period. It is a non-residential programme, however transport allowance and lunch will be provided on a daily basis during the training sessions.
The objective is to provide real world, practical training in ICT tools that will empower young women to work in the ICT industry and to start micro-enterprises that will add value to their communities. The long-term goal is to boost Nigerian women's capacity to actively participate in and to grow the Nigerian economy.
Interested young women who meet the below requirements are invited to apply. Applicants Must:

• Be female within the age of 18-30
• Have a secondary school certificate
• Be a resident or have accommodation in Kano
• Be willing to attend classes in Kano for 4 weeks

In addition, applicants are required to submit an enterprise idea or plan that they will want set up at the end of the training.

SHORT SERVICE COMBATANT COMMISSION COURSE 45/2019
1. Applications are invited from eligible Nigerians for commission into the Nigerian Army (NA) as Short Service Combatant (SSC) Commission officers. The SSC is open to both civilians and serving military personnel. However, only serving military personnel sponsored by any of the Services of the Nigerian Armed Forces to civil institutions shall be considered.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
2. All applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
Be a Nigerian as defined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Be a male or female between the ages of 23 and 27 by January 2019.
Be medically, mentally and physically fit according to NA Standards.
Be recommended by at least 2 recognizable referees who must attest to the applicant’s character and integrity. Serving military personnel must be recommended by their commanding officers. Civilians could be recommended by a Local Government Chairman/Secretary or an officer of the Armed Forces not below the rank of a Lieutenant Colonel and equivalent or an Assistant Commissioner of Police and above who must hail from the state of the applicant. Passport photographs of referees must be affixed to the letter of attestation.
Candidates must submit a Letter of Attestation from their former institutions.
Measure at least 1.68m (for male) and 1.65m (for female) in height.
Must not have been convicted by any court of law. Military personnel must be free from any disciplinary case (This is to be endorsed by the Commanding Officer/Commander).
Possess at least a first degree with not less than Second Class Lower Division or HND of not less than Lower Credit in the arts, sciences or humanities from any recognized institution of learning.
Possess valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital or Local Government Council or valid age declaration.
Possess a valid certificate of state of origin.
Applicants (other than serving members of the Armed Forces) must possess NYSC discharge certificate or a valid certificate of exemption as the case may be.
Only academic credentials obtained from 2013 to date will be considered.
Candidates must present contact addresses and telephone numbers of parent/guardians and Next of Kin.
Candidates must not have any body inscriptions or tattoos.
Candidates must tender all original copies of educational certificates (primary to post-secondary).
Service personnel must present valid military identity cards and letters of recommendations by their Commanding Officers/Commanders. They must also present valid letter(s) of NA sponsorship in tertiary academic institutions. Additionally, they must have served for a period of not less than 5 years in the unit.
Candidates must not be members of any cult/society/fraternity.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

3. SSC will be granted for 15 years. Ten years will be on active list renewable thereafter for a period not more than 5 years. No extension shall be granted after the fifteenth year of commission except on conversion to regular combatant commission where applicable.
Officer cadets who successfully complete the military training shall be granted the rank of second lieutenant.
Conversion to regular combatant commission is not automatic. It is based on availability of vacancy and other criteria that are or will be in force from time to time.
All graduating officer cadets must sign an acceptance on the terms and conditions governing the Short Service Combatant Commission before they are granted commission into the Nigerian Army.
The reckonable period of service will be based on the date of commencement of cadet training of both civilian and military personnel entrants.

ADVERTISEMENT AND ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENLISTMENT INTO THE NIGERIAN NAVY DIRECT SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION COURSE 26
1. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified Nigerians for enlistment into the Nigerian Navy through the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 26. Online registration starts on 3 October 2018 and closes on 14 November 2018. The departments and entry requirements are listed below.
2. Seaman: BSc/HND in Nautical Sciences. Membership of relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
3. Accounts and Budget: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Economics and Accounting. Membership of a professional body like ICAN, ANAN, ACMA, ACCA, ACA will be an added advantage.
4. Chaplain: Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from a registered institution of theology from either of the following:

a. Catholic Mission.

b. Protestant Mission.

Applicants must have completed 2 years apprenticeship in Apostolic Ministry and be recommended from the pastoral missions. In addition to qualifications required, applicants must be of male gender and duly ordained clergy of their respective Christian faith.
5. Education: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)/ B.Sc Ed in relevant fields. Holders of first degree with PGD in the following fields are also eligible:

a. Mathematics.

b. Physics.

c. Chemistry.

d. History.

e. Library Science (B.Sc)

g. French Language.

h. Chinese Language.

i. Guidance and Counselling.

j. Computer Science.

k. Arabic Language.
6. Engineering: B.Sc or B Eng qualifications in the following fields:
a. Naval Architecture/Ship Design.

b. Mechanical/Marine Engineering.

c. Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

d. Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering.

Membership of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) will be an added advantage.
7.Human Resource Management: B.Sc, BA, HND or equivalent qualification in:

a. Personnel Management.

b. Public Administration.
c. Human Resource Management.

Membership of National Institute of Management and other relevant bodies will be an added advantage.
8. Hydrography: B.Sc or HND in the following fields:

a. Cartography.

b. Surveying/Geoinfomatics.

c. Geophysics.

d. Physical Oceanography.

Membership of National Institute of Statistics will be an added advantage. Applicants with B.Sc degree in Physics and Mathematics must possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Land Survey to be eligible.
9. Imam: Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies. Diploma in Counselling Psychology will be an added advantage.
10. Information: B.Sc or HND in the following fields.

a. Mass Communication.
b. Journalism.

c. Public Relations.

d. Printing Technology.
e. Cinematography.

f. Television Production.
g. Computer Technology (Desktop Publishing).

Membership of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations will be an added advantage.
11. Information and Communication Technology: B.Sc/B.Tech/ B.Eng in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Priority will be given to candidates with relevant qualification in:

a. Website development and management.

b. Networking and network administration.

c. Programming multimedia and software development.

d. Server and database administration.

e. Information and cyber security.

Certification in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
12. Medical. The following medical fields with requisite entry qualifications are available:

a. General Doctors/Dental Surgeons: MBBS, MBchB or equivalent. Must be fully registered by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and possess a current practicing license.

b. Pharmacy: B.Pharm degree and full registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria as well as have a current practicing license.

c. Medical Lab Science: Either a BMLS or AIMLS/ equivalent and be fully registered with the Medical Laboratory Scientist Council of Nigeria as well as possess a current practicing license.

d. Radiographer: Minimum of BSc/HND in Radiography with current practicing license.

e. Physiotherapy: B. Physiotherapy or BMR (Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation). Must be registered with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Registration Board of Nigeria (MRTB) and possess a current practicing license.

f. Optometry: Doctor of Optometry. Must be a fully registered optometrist, dispensing optician by the Optical Council of Nigeria and have a current practicing license.

g. Medical Records/Health Information Management: Minimum of BSc/ HND required with a current practicing license.

h. Dietician: B.Sc or HND Dietician/Nutrition. Must be registered with Dietetics Council of Nigeria with a current practicing license.

i. Clinical Psychology: BSc/HND in Clinical Psychology and Applied Psychology, with a current practicing license.

j. Biomedical Engineer: BSc/HND in Biomedical Engineering with a current practicing license.

k. Public Health Officer: BSc/HND in either Environmental

Health or Community Health Information and Education. Must be fully registered with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORCON) and possess a current practicing license.

l. General Nursing/ Midwives: B.NSc and RN/RM with current practicing license. Post basic qualification in any of the following fields will be an added advantage:

(1) Accident and Emergency Nurse.

(2) Intensive Care Unit Nurse.

(3) Peri-Operative Nurse.

(4) Ophthalmic Nurse.

16. Legal Services: LLB and BL (A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience is required).

GENERAL INFORMATION TO CANDIDATES
1. Applicants are warned against giving false information or tendering fake certificates. Any false information or fake certificates discovered at any stage will lead to disqualification and subsequent prosecution of the applicant.
2. Applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for holders of First degree and Upper Credit for HND holders. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
3. Applicants must possess certificates of full registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.
4. Applicants who obtained credentials from foreign institutions should ensure the certificates are authenticated by the Federal Ministry of Education.
5. All applicants must be single.
6. All applicants must present O’level West African Examination Certificate (WAEC), in addition to any other results such as NECO. Credit in Mathematics and English is compulsory.
7. NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption from NYSC is compulsory for the whole process.
8. Male applicants must not be less than 1.68 metres tall while female applicants must not be less than 1.65 metres tall.
9. Applicants should be between 22 and 28 years of age by 28 February 2019. Except for Chaplains and Imams who should not be more than 30 years.
10. Serving personnel, Soldier/Rating/Airman, and other paramilitary services personnel must obtain a letter of attestation duly signed by the heads of their units.
11. Applicants will be shortlisted for a qualifying aptitude test. The date and time of the Aptitude Test will be communicated via this website.
12. Applicants are to choose any of the following centres for the qualifying aptitude test:

a. Abuja – (1) Army Day Secondary School, Mogadishu Barracks, Abuja.

(2) Command Day Secondary School, Lungi Barracks, Abuja.

b. Bauchi – Command Day Secondary School, Shadawanka Barracks.
