HELLO SEPTEMBER 👋🏽🎨

Happy New Month, Designers! 🚀

September is here, and I don’t want you to enter this month with only “Happy New Month” posts.

Enter September with a plan.

As a designer, this is what you should really be doing this month:

🎯 Improve your craft — Don’t just design more; design better.

📚 Learn with purpose — Pick ONE skill that can increase your value and actually work on it.

🤖 Learn how to use AI — Not to replace your creativity, but to make your research, ideation, workflow and ex*****on faster.

💼 Build your portfolio — Stop keeping your best work on your laptop. Let people see what you can do.

📱 Show your process — Share your designs, mistakes, case studies, before & afters, and what you’re learning.

💰 Think beyond likes — Learn how to position your skill, communicate value and attract paying clients.

🤝🏽 Network — Connect with other creatives, business owners, founders and potential clients.

🚫 And please… stop trying to learn everything at once.

You don't need 10 new courses this September.

You need consistency, direction and ex*****on.

September can either be another month on the calendar or the month you finally start taking your design career seriously.

Your creativity deserves to be seen. Your skills deserve to be paid. And your work deserves to be positioned properly.

I WAS NOMINATED AS ONE OF THE BEST GRAPHIC DESIGNERS… BUT I NEVER POSTED IT.

Sometimes ago this year, I received a nomination from a brand in Ghana as one of the Best Graphic Designers.

I was excited.

I was grateful.

But guess what?

I didn't post it.

Not because it wasn't a big deal.

Not because I wasn't proud of it.

I simply felt like…

"Nobody knows me. Who is going to care?"

So I kept it to myself.

And today, looking back, I realize that was a mistake.

I was so focused on whether people would notice the achievement that I forgot something important:

Your journey deserves to be documented, even before the world knows your name.

Every small win matters.

Every nomination matters.

Every client you serve matters.

Every skill you learn matters.

Every step you take is part of the story you're building.

And sometimes, the things you think are "not big enough to post" are actually the things someone else needs to see to believe that they can start too.

So I'm posting this today—not because it's still new, but because it's part of my journey.

I want to look back someday and see the evidence of where I started, the opportunities I received, the mistakes I made, and how far I've grown.

LESSON LEARNED:

Don't wait until everybody knows your name before you start documenting your journey.

Don't hide your progress because you think it's too small.

Don't compare your beginning to someone else's highlight.

Document the journey. Celebrate the milestones. Learn from the mistakes. Keep building.

One day, you'll look back at the things you almost didn't post and realize they were proof that you were growing all along.

I'm still learning.
I'm still building.
I'm still becoming.

And this is one of the pages of my story. ❤️‍🔥

To every designer, creative, entrepreneur, or young person building something: KEEP GOING.

Your current stage may not look impressive to you, but someone else may be inspired by how far you've already come.

Don't just chase the destination. Document the journey.

HAPPY SUNDAY, MY PEOPLE! ☀️❤️

As we step into another beautiful week, I just want to remind someone:

DON’T GIVE UP. KEEP GOING.

Maybe last week didn't go as planned.
Maybe the results were slow.
Maybe you questioned yourself.
Maybe you’re wondering if all the hard work is really worth it.

But remember—progress doesn't always make noise.

Sometimes, you're growing in ways you can't see yet.

So, as you prepare for another week, don't stop learning.
Don't stop creating.
Don't stop improving.
Don't stop showing up.

And while I'm sharing some of my recent works today, I'm also reminding myself that every design, every project, every client, and every opportunity is part of the journey. 🎨💻

I may not be where I want to be yet, but I'm definitely not where I started.

Keep building. Keep learning. Keep creating. Keep believing.

Your breakthrough might be closer than you think. 🚀

2027 IS COMING… BUT WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT? 👀🔥

Everybody keeps saying:

“2027 is my year.”
“Next year, I’ll make more money.”
“Next year, I’ll start that business.”
“Next year, I’ll learn a new skill.”
“Next year, I’ll go back to school.”

But let me ask you something…

What have you started doing TODAY to make that 2027 possible? 🤔

Because 2027 will not magically change your life.

A new year doesn’t create a new you.

Your preparation does.

So, what’s the plan?

🎯 Are you going to upgrade your skills?
💼 Are you going to scale your business?
📚 Are you going to pursue your academics?
💻 Are you going to learn a digital skill?
💰 Are you going to build another income stream?
🚀 Are you going to finally take your personal brand seriously?

Whatever your answer is, don’t wait until January 1st, 2027 to start.

Start now.

Use the remaining months of 2026 to prepare the person you want to become in 2027.

Because when 2027 finally arrives, I don't want you to be saying:

“This is my year.”

I want you to be able to say:

“I prepared for this year.” 🔥

Your future self is watching what you do today.

YOU DON’T HAVE A SKILL PROBLEM. YOU MAY HAVE A POSITIONING PROBLEM.

You can be a very good designer and still struggle to get clients.

That sounds strange, but it happens every day.
You can create beautiful logos.
Beautiful flyers.

Beautiful social media designs.
Beautiful brand identities.

But if your entire marketing strategy is:
“Here’s my design. DM me if you need a designer.”

You may be making it unnecessarily difficult for yourself.

Clients don't wake up thinking:
“I need a graphic designer today.”
They think:

“I need my business to look more professional.”

“I need more customers.”
“I need a brand people can trust.”
“I need someone who understands my business.”

That's the difference.
Stop selling only the design. Start communicating the value behind the design.
Don't just show the logo.

Explain the problem the identity solves.
Don't just post a flyer.

Explain how good visual communication can influence attention and perception.

Don't just say you're a designer.
Show people why they should trust you with their brand.

Your skill gets you started.
Your positioning gets you noticed.
Your communication gets you considered.
And your ability to deliver gets you recommended.
