To every podcast creator I’ve ever silently judged, I owe you an apology.

For the longest time, I carried a subtle bias where I genuinely believed that podcasts were overhyped, slow-paced, and nowhere near as impactful as books, YouTube videos, or masterclasses.

I always thought “who really learns from people just talking into a mic?”

But recently, I had a wake-up call.

One podcast episode, only one flipped my entire perspective.

It was Natalie Ellis’ “10x10 Strategy” on the BossBabe podcast, recommended by none other than Leah Christian, and it hit me harder than I expected.

Here’s what happened...

I didn’t just listen, I absorbed and understood.

Suddenly, I wasn’t multitasking or zoning out like I usually do with audio. I found myself taking notes. Rewinding. Pausing to think.

I realized podcasts aren’t "lesser than", they’re just different.

They're a more intimate, raw, and conversational way of learning. Especially for minds that don’t always thrive in visually overstimulating environments.

This experience didn’t just change my view on one episode, it unlocked a whole new learning style I never gave credit to.

One that’s passive yet potent, casual yet deep, and accessible to everyone.

To the podcast community, I was wrong.

And I think many others still are.

We often dismiss what we don’t understand especially when it doesn’t match our preferred format of consumption.

So to every podcast host pouring hours into researching, scripting, interviewing, editing, and producing...I see you now. And I’m sorry it took me this long.

If you're reading this who, like me, dismissed podcasts as “not for me”. I challenge you to listen to just one episode on a topic you care about.

Maybe it’s not about format. Maybe it’s about finding the right voice, the right host, or the right lens.

So here’s my question to stir the pot:

Are podcasts truly underrated, or have we just been consuming the wrong ones?

I’d love to know...

• What’s a podcast episode that changed the way you think?

• And for the skeptics, what’s holding you back from pressing play?

I can say now that I’m open, humbled, and officially converted!

With Q1 coming to an end, is your BRAND still looking BASIC? Time is ticking!

The first quarter is almost over, and if you haven’t taken action to build an iconic brand, you’re leaving money and opportunities on the table.

Here are 4 reasons why your BRAND looks CHEAP:

#1: Bad Fonts – Using Comic Sans (or worse, default fonts) screams "amateur." Your typography should reflect your brand’s personality and not kill it.

#2: Too Many Colors – Rainbow vomit isn’t a branding strategy. A cluttered color palette confuses customers and weakens recognition.

#3: Overused Templates – If your logo, website, or graphics look like a free Canva template, you’re invisible. Stand out and don’t just blend in!

#4: Bad Strategy – No clear messaging? No defined audience? You’re just throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping it sticks.

Only premium brands have Defined Strategy, Strong Identify and Visual Consistency.

It's not too late to Fix! Q2 is your chance to rebrand smartly.

→Simplify your visuals (fonts, colors, templates).

→Clarify your messaging and audience.

→Elevate your strategy to match your ambition and create opportunities.

If you're tired of having a basic brand that generated zero ROI, DM "BRAND UPGRADE" and let's make your brand ICONIC!

Design is a journey of growth, and every project teaches us something new.

Here are 5 lessons we've learned along the way that have shaped our approach to creativity and client work:

1. Start with the Why

Always ask; What’s the purpose of this design? Understanding the “why” behind a project helps me create solutions that truly resonate with the audience.

2. Simplicity is always Key

Learn to strip away the unnecessary and focus on what truly matters.

3. Communication is Everything

A great design is only as good as the story behind it. We've learned to communicate our ideas clearly, whether it’s through sketches, wireframes, or client presentations.

4. Feedback is Your Friend

Early feedback saves time and headaches. I’ve learned to embrace constructive criticism because it’s not about us, it’s about creating the best possible outcome for our clients.

5. Stay Curious, Keep Learning

The design world evolves fast. Whether it’s mastering a new tool or exploring the latest trends, staying curious has kept our work fresh and relevant.

This cannot be overemphasized enough that a BRAND is more than just a LOGO. A lot of startups and entrepreneurs out there that established on a wimp believe all that's needed is a logo to succeed. This is FALSE!!

A brand is more than a logo, product, visual identity, etc., a brand is a REPUTATION. A brand is a unique and distinctive identity that represents a product, service, business or organization.

A strong brand is one that consistently communicates its unique value proposition, resonates with its target audience, and adapts to changing market conditions.

I𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲!

Here's why 👇

Your logo alone isn’t enough to define your brand. It’s just a 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥, a piece of the larger puzzle that builds your business’s 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 story.

Without a cohesive visual 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲, even the best logos can get lost in the noise.

Why do you think your LOGO alone falls short? Although it is important but your logo 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐓:

✓ Reflect your brand’s personality. Whether your brand playful, elegant, bold, or minimalist? Your audience won’t know that just from a single image.

✓ Communicate your values. Your values need to be 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐭 through visuals, messaging, and consistency, not just a mark.

If you want your business to stand out and leave a lasting impact, you need a full 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲.

So, what does your brand’s Visual Identity include?

— A Responsive Logo Suite.

Don't know what this entails? It is the different versions of your logo (horizontal, vertical, icon-only) ensure it looks perfect on websites, social media, and printed materials

— A Standout Color Palette

Colors evoke emotions and create recognition. Think of Coca-Cola’s bold red or Tiffany’s iconic blue. These colors have become inseparable from their brands.

— Intentional Typography Pairings

Fonts set the tone. Elegant serif fonts? Bold sans-serif? Playful scripts? Pair typefaces that communicate your brand’s message clearly and consistently.

— Direction for Brand Imagery

Photos, illustrations, and graphics should follow a specific style—whether that’s high-end editorial, vibrant and modern, or minimal and clean.

— Purposeful Icons and Patterns

Small details like custom icons, background patterns, or line art can elevate your brand’s professional feel and tie everything together seamlessly.

A strong visual identity matters because consistency breeds familiarity, and familiarity builds trust.
Your audience will remember you when every touch point looks and feels cohesive.

Therefore,

When you focus on creating a complete visual identity, you don’t just look professional, you feel intentional, trustworthy, and memorable especially to your audiences.

Many startups overlook the value of their website as a critical business investment.

I recall a meeting with a client who initially opted for a cheap, hastily-built website to "𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻."

But after explaining the benefits of a user-friendly, functional, and visually appealing website, she saw the light.
