Turn it off immediately. Do not try to test if it still works.
Remove the SIM card, memory card, and any removable battery (if possible).
Dry the outside with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Do not charge the phone until it has been properly inspected and dried.
Do not use a hair dryer or microwave, as heat can cause more damage.
Avoid putting the phone in rice. Rice does not reliably remove moisture and can leave dust inside the phone.
Take it to a professional phone repair technician as soon as possible. The phone should be opened, cleaned with high-purity isopropyl alcohol, and checked for corrosion on the motherboard.
