Adebayo Adelabu’s Sister And Twin Sons Abducted By Gunmen During School Run In Ibadan

The family of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has confirmed the abduction of his younger sister, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, and her 12-year-old twin sons in Ibadan.

According to the family, the 43-year-old and her sons, Peter and Paul, were kidnapped by armed gunmen at about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday while she was taking the children to school.

The incident was immediately reported to security agencies, which have since launched investigations and rescue operations to secure the victims’ release and track down those responsible.

The family disclosed that Mrs. John-Paul recently retired after working with the Central Bank of Nigeria and First Bank Pension Custodian before relocating to Ibadan with her children ahead of plans to reunite with her husband in the United States.

Chief Adelabu and members of the family expressed deep concern over the abduction but said they remain hopeful that security operatives will rescue the victims safely.

They also appealed to the public to avoid spreading unverified information and urged anyone with useful intelligence to assist investigators through the appropriate channels.
