BITCOIN WALLET ADDRESS
If you created your BITCOIN account after reading our last post here, then, read this to know how to get your first BITCOIN:
Your BITCOIN account, the one you created, contains wallet. These wallets have what we call Wallet Address. If you want to receive BITCOIN from someone, it is this wallet address that you are supposed to send to them.
So, let us use your Coinbase as an instance. Please for the benefit of this tutorial, use a PC (Desktop or Laptop Comjputer) so that you will see exactly what I am describing here.
Go to coinbase.com and login to your account using the email and password you used to register last week.
Once you are logged in, look at the top, there is a menu that has the following items: Dashboard, Buy/Sell, Accounts, Tools, Settings
Click Accounts and wait for the page to load.
From the page that loads, look at the left column; you should see ... BTC Wallet. Click it.
A dialog pops up. Read what you have there if you like, and click the Show Address button.
You will see a barcode and below, you have a string of alphanumeric characters: That is what we call Bitcoin Wallet Address. And that is like your account number. Whenever you want to receive Bitcoin from someone, you need to come and get the address you see there
Note: For security and privacy reasons, this address changes, so it is important that you always come and pick the new address for every transaction.
I hope you have successfully done this. Don't worry, with time, it gets as easy as ABC.
DO NOT BUY BITCOIN FROM PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW/TRUST! PLEASE!!
AND ONLY USE SPARE MONEY.
Please SHARE this to your timeline so your friends can see.
