8 WAYS TO AVOID A CRACKED SMARTPHONE SCREEN
A cracked smartphone screen is a horrible consequence of dropping your phone, stepping on it, and generally not being careful with it. Cracked screens can happen to anyone, here are 8 ways to avoid a cracked screen.
1. DON’T DROP IT: Obviously to avoid a cracked screen, you need to keep a hold of your phone. This may seem like a stupid tip, but you may be surprised by how many people actually don’t consider their phone to be important enough to be careful with it. Most likely, your smartphone was expensive, and whether you paid for it or someone you love gave it to you, it is a pricey thing to carry around and it should be treated as such. Don’t be careless with your phone, and try your hardest not to drop it.
2. BUY A CASE WITH A RAISED LIP: Phone cases are absolutely necessary for smartphones, and if you buy the right case, you may be able to avoid smashing or cracking your screen. Whenever it is time to buy a case for your phone, look for one that has a lip or a beveled edge around its front. This will help your phone to stay protected and your screen to stay intact, because if you would drop your phone on its face, then the case wouldn’t allow the screen to actually hit the ground. These cases may be a bit bulkier than you would like, and may be a bit more expensive, but remember, your smartphone was a ton of money too.
3. BUY A CASE THAT HAS GRIPS ON IT: Another great thing to look for when buying a phone case is one that has grips or is made out of grippy material. If you buy a phone case that is sleek and slick, then it may easily slide out of your pocket or your hands. Then, suddenly when you least expect it, your phone will be on the floor and your screen will be cracked. If your case is grippy or has grips, you will be able to hold onto the phone easier and keep your phone from falling to the floor.
4. BUY THE MOST PROTECTIVE CASE YOU CAN AFFORD: Since your smartphone is so freaking expensive, it is best to buy the most protective case that you can afford. By buying cases from brands like Otterbox or Life Proof, you may be able to protect your phone from any type of disaster. Some of the cases out today allow you to drop your phone from high distances and still keep your screen and your phone intact. If you are prone to accidents, then splurging on a phone case that is super protective is probably the best idea.
5. USE SCREEN PROTECTORS: Screen protectors may not seem like they actually will protect your phone from anything, but they do. The flimsy protectors are designed to keep your screen free of any scratches or small cracks. By always keeping a screen protector on your smartphone’s screen, you can slightly protect your screen from any damage, including cracks. It is best though if you have a screen protector on your screen and still buy a protective case. This will double the protection on your phone and ensure that your phone is 100 percent protected from being scratched or damaged.
6. DON’T BE CARELESS WITH YOUR PHONE: Just like a few previous tips, this tip is pretty straightforward and employs common sense. Someone spent a lot of money on your phone and a lot of work went into making your phone somewhere in the world. Don’t be careless or frivolous with your phone. It is a privilege to have a smartphone and to be able to afford one easily. Therefore, if you do have one, then don’t be careless. Protect your phone like the pile of money that went into buying and creating your phone, and always keep it in its case and keep a screen protector over your phone’s screen. Plus, always keep tabs on where your phone is and ensure that it is in a safe place at all times.
7. AVOID LEAVING YOUR PHONE ON THE FLOOR WHERE IT CAN BE STEPPED ON: If you sit on the floor regularly, then it is likely that you have put your phone on the floor as well. While this may seem like a decent idea whenever you are sitting, once you move, suddenly your phone is in a very vulnerable place. People could easily step on your phone and break its screen without even realizing your phone was there. Instead, always keep your phone on higher grounds and never place your phone on the floor if you don’t want to risk it being stepped on.
8. DON’T LEAVE YOUR PHONE IN YOUR BACK POCKETS ALL OF THE TIME: Phones slip out of back pockets incredibly easily, especially if you are a girl. The back pockets of girl’s pants are somewhat smaller than the pockets found in guy’s pants, and they are tighter. For this reason, whenever many girls stick their phones in their back pockets, the phones can easily slip out whenever the girl sits down or goes up a flight of stairs. To prevent your phone screen from cracking, keep your phone in your purse or your jacket pocket.
Spend money to protect your smartphone, and you won’t regret it whenever you are able to keep your phone for years and still keep it in pristine condition.
