LAPAI EMIRATE SUMMIT TEAM VISITS TESPIRE CEO ABDULKADIR SULEIMAN LAPAI IN ABUJA

The Lapai Emirate Summit Team on Wednesday paid a strategic visit to the Chief Executive Officer of Tespire, Mr. Abdulkadir Suleiman Lapai, in Abuja, as preparations intensify for the forthcoming Lapai Emirate Summit.

The delegation was led by the CEO of Lapai TV and Lapai Innovation Lab, Mr. Aliyu Abdullahi Kure, who engaged the Tespire boss in strategic discussions aimed at strengthening partnerships and drawing valuable insights to ensure the success of the summit.

Welcoming the team, Mr. Abdulkadir Suleiman expressed appreciation for the visit, describing the Lapai Emirate Summit as a timely and visionary initiative capable of redefining the socio-economic narrative of the emirate. He emphasized the importance of strategic planning, stakeholder inclusiveness, and sustainability in executing community-driven programmes, noting that impactful initiatives must be built on structure, credibility, and long-term vision.

He encouraged the team to adopt global best practices while maintaining strong local relevance, stressing that successful platforms are those that balance innovation with cultural identity.

Speaking further, Mr. Abdulkadir Lapai shared his experience hosting this year’s TEDxMinna, shedding light on the complexities of organizing an international programme. He highlighted key challenges encountered, including ticket sales, securing partnerships, venue logistics, and other unforeseen circumstances that tested the resilience of the organizing team.

According to him, hosting a globally recognized platform like TEDx requires meticulous planning, strong collaboration, and adaptability, especially within a local context where structural and institutional limitations may arise.

In his remarks, Mr. Aliyu Abdullahi Kure provided a comprehensive overview of the vision and mission of Lapai TV and the Lapai Innovation Lab, linking their core objectives to the upcoming Lapai Emirate Summit. He emphasized that the Innovation Lab is committed to tapping into Lapai’s vast intellectual and human capital, particularly leveraging the presence of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), to project a positive image of the community.

He further explained that the platform aims to collaborate with security agencies to enhance safety within the host community, while also serving as a mentorship and role-model hub for young people. According to him, the summit is designed not only as a gathering of stakeholders but as a transformative movement to reposition Lapai for sustainable growth.

Mr. Abdulkadir Lapai, while reflecting on his longstanding relationship with Mr. Aliyu, commended his unwavering commitment to community development. He recalled his participation in the Lapai Tree Planting initiative, describing it as a practical step towards environmental sustainability and civic responsibility values he said align strongly with the objectives of the Lapai Emirate Summit.

He also praised Mr. Aliyu’s efforts in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Lapai, urging the summit organizers to prioritize authentic cultural displays, particularly aspects of tradition that may have been neglected over time.

Addressing the issue of internal politics, Mr. Abdulkadir Lapai expressed hope that the summit would rise above divisions and serve as a unifying platform for collective progress within the emirate.

He concluded by pledging his full support for the Lapai Emirate Summit, reaffirming his readiness to contribute to initiatives that advance the socio-economic and cultural development of Lapai Emirate.
