A critical cPanel/WHM vulnerability — CVE-2026-41940 — is being actively exploited in the wild. It's an authentication bypass, meaning attackers can reach the hosting control panel without a password, and over a million sites worldwide use cPanel. Patches were released on April 28, and it's now on CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities list.
If your site runs on cPanel, three quick moves:
✅ confirm your host has applied the patch (version 11.40+)
✅ reset your cPanel and admin passwords
✅ enable two-factor authentication.
