Most candidates relax at this stage and that is where mistakes begin.

You have your JAMB profile code. Good. Do not stop there.

Please make sure you save this for future use.

1. Check your details carefully
Confirm your full name, date of birth, and gender. If anything is wrong, fix it now. Small errors later become big problems during admission.

2. GET A VALID EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER
Use an email you can always access. Do not borrow anyone’s email. JAMB updates and recovery links will go there.

3. PREPARE FOR YOUR EPIN
Your profile code alone is not registration. You still need the ePIN before you can register at a CBT centre.

4. DECIDE YOUR COURSE AND INSTITUTION EARLY
Do not wait until registration day. Many students rush this step and choose wrongly.

5. CONFIRM YOUR SUBJECT COMBINATION
Wrong subject combination can cancel your admission, even with a high score.

6. ORGANIZE YOUR O’LEVEL RESULTS
Know whether you are using WAEC, NECO, or two sittings. Make sure your results are ready for upload.

🚨 HOW TO GENERATE JAMB PROFILE CODE 2026: THIS IS THE FIRST THING YOU MUST DO BEFORE REGISTRATION! 📲

If you are planning to write JAMB UTME 2026, read this carefully. Before you can buy JAMB form or register at any CBT centre, you MUST generate your 10-digit JAMB Profile Code.

Without it ❌ — registration is impossible.

✅ HOW TO GENERATE YOUR JAMB PROFILE CODE

1️⃣ Open your SMS app
2️⃣ Type: NIN 12345678901 (Use ur NIN Digits)
3️⃣ Send to 55019 or 66019
4️⃣ Ensure you have at least ₦50 airtime (main balance)

If successful, you will receive your Profile Code by SMS.

❌ COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

🚫 Don’t remove the space between NIN and your number
🚫 Don’t use another person’s SIM card
🚫 Don’t use bonus airtime
🚫 Don’t resend the SMS many times

One small mistake can delay your registration.

Is the JAMB 2026 registration fee out?
No, As at now, JAMB has not officially released the registration fee for the 2026 UTME.

However, based on previous years and established patterns, I can give a realistic expectation to help students plan properly.

EXPECTED COST FOR JAMB 2026
While the exact figure is not yet confirmed, it is expected that:
The fee will likely be around ₦8,700

It will not exceed ₦8,700
It may be slightly lower than this amount

What is very unlikely is a reduction below previous years’ fees. In Nigeria, prices may increase or remain the same, but they rarely decrease.

Clarifying the ₦7,200 confusion

Many people are correct when they say last year’s JAMB form was ₦7,200. However, that amount applied only to candidates who registered without the mock examination.

WHAT JAMB EXPECTS FROM EVERY 2026 UTME CANDIDATE

As preparations for the 2026 UTME begin, JAMB has made it clear that only candidates who meet specific requirements will successfully complete registration and admission processes.

Here’s what every JAMB candidate must keep in mind:

• Age: Candidates must be at least 16 years or will be 16 years by 31st October.

• O’Level results: A minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings from approved exam bodies like WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE, etc. Candidates applying for courses like Medicine can do so only with one sitting of result.

• National Identification Number (NIN): This is compulsory. Without a valid NIN, you cannot generate a profile code or proceed with the UTME registration. Kindly check the previous post on this page on how to generate your JAMB profile code.

• Correct personal details: All biodata supplied—name, date of birth, gender, state of origin, and LGA—must perfectly match your NIMC records. Discrepancies in candidate's details cannot be corrected after JAMB registration.

• Functional email & phone number: Use a personal email address and an active mobile number to be able to access JAMB services at your comfort.

• Choice of institutions: Candidates are required to select four tertiary institutions in order of preference.

Meeting these expectations early puts you ahead and reduces last-minute registration issues and errors.

Finally, take note that the registration date for 2026 JAMB has not been officially announced. Disregard any information that says otherwise.
