The lame man who was born with this deformity laid daily by the “Beautiful Gate” (Acts 3:2), but his life never had any iota of beauty. He was over 40years of age and was been carried to the gate daily to beg for alms from people to be able to eat and take care of his basic needs.

The gate by which he sits leads to the Temple where worshippers pass through to pray to God every day (Acts 3:1).

One day, he was privileged to encounter Jesus through His Apostles; Peter and John, that commanded him to “rise up and walk” in Jesus’ name for they had neither silver nor gold to offer him (Acts 3:6).

The power in the name of Jesus Christ worked wonder in the life of this man and he regained his legs (Acts 3:7). He was able to make good use of his legs, he walked, leaped and praised God for the restoration (Acts 3:8). People around him testified to his healing and joined him in praising God (Acts 3:9-10).

We can also encounter our salvation, healing, deliverance, breakthrough and many more through divine intervention if we come in contact with the person of Jesus Christ. We should as Christians strive to be where the true gospel is being spread and follow the divine directives every day. The Apostles gave him instructions, he followed and got results (Acts 3:6-8).

Our destiny lies in our hands, let take the right steps in the right directions and see expected results.

About the Holy Spirit; The Holy Spirit dwells inside every true Christian. The body of faithful Christians becomes His temple (1Cor. 3:16). The Holy Spirit is the active presence of God in the world.

The Holy Spirit is associated with various roles and functions;

1. The Holy Spirit is seen as a source of comfort and assistance to believers. In times of trouble or need, the Holy Spirit is believed to come alongside believers to provide guidance, strength, and support (Jn. 14:26)

2. The Holy Spirit is believed to teach and guide believers in understanding and living out the teachings of Jesus Christ. This includes helping believers interpret and apply the Scriptures to their lives (Jn. 16:12-15)

3. The Holy Spirit is often seen as convicting individuals of their sinfulness, leading them to repentance and a turning towards God (Jn. 16:8)

4. The Holy Spirit is considered to empower believers for Christian living, equipping them with spiritual gifts for service and enabling them to live according to God's will (Acts 1:8)

5. The Holy Spirit is our mark of adoption as God’s children, Holy Spirit is a deposit in our lives confirming the validity of Christ’s message and that we belong to Christ (Rm. 8:14-17).

Holy Spirit is a necessity for every Christian who wants to make a positive impact in the lives of people around them and also in their own lives. We must be desired of Him.
