WHY SIMPLE LOGOS WIN
A great logo should work at the size of a thumbnail and still be recognisable when printed on a billboard. Think of Nike's swoosh or MTN's yellow circle — one shape, one idea, no clutter.

When you're designing a logo for a client, resist the urge to add every element of their business into the mark. A bakery logo doesn't need bread, wheat, an oven, and a chef's hat all in one badge.

Pick the single strongest idea and build around it. Simplicity also protects your client long-term: a clean mark embroiders well on uniforms, engraves well on plaques and reads clearly when reduced to a favicon.

The best test of a logo isn't how impressive it looks large — it's how much of its identity survives when it gets small.
