The Next Chapter for HRManager 5.0: Talent Management Is Coming
HRManager 5.0 has always been built around one idea: HR data shouldn't live in five different spreadsheets. Employee records, attendance, leave, and multi-currency payroll already sit in a single, auditable system of record. The next step is extending that same principle to the parts of HR that happen before someone becomes an employee, and after — how they're hired, how they grow, and how they're paid to stay.
That's Talent Management, and it's the next chapter for the platform.
Why now
Payroll and attendance answer the question "what happened." Talent Management answers a different one: "what's next for this person." Who should we hire? Who's ready for more responsibility? Who's overdue for a raise, and can we actually justify it with data instead of a gut feeling? Those questions matter just as much as getting payroll right — they're just harder to systematize, which is exactly why they usually end up back in spreadsheets, email threads, and someone's memory.
We're building five modules to close that gap. None of them are live yet — you'll see them listed in the sidebar today, grayed out with a "Soon" badge, so you know they're coming and can ask us to prioritize one for your organization.
What's coming
Recruitment / Applicant Tracking A real pipeline — job requisitions tied to your existing Department and Designation structure, candidates moving through defined stages, interview scorecards, and a one-click path from "hired" to a full Employee record. No re-typing a candidate's details on their first day.
Onboarding Checklists that actually get checked. Role-specific onboarding templates, task assignment with due dates, and a self-service view so a new hire can see — and complete — their own first-week checklist without HR chasing them down.
Performance Reviews Structured review cycles instead of once-a-year scrambles. Configurable templates, self- and manager-reviews, goal tracking between cycles, and a review history that lives right alongside the employee's existing attendance and payroll record — one profile, the full picture.
Learning & Development A training catalog with assignment and completion tracking, built for both compliance training that has to happen and skill-building that should. Expiry reminders for anything time-limited, and manager visibility into who's actually finished what.
Compensation Planning Salary bands per role, so raises are a decision made against a documented range — not a guess. Compensation cycles with an approval workflow, and full awareness of the multi-currency payroll data that already exists in the system, rather than a second, disconnected spreadsheet of numbers.
Built on what you already have
Each of these modules is designed to extend HRManager's existing data, not duplicate it. A hired candidate becomes an Employee record. A performance review sits on that same Employee record next to their attendance history. A compensation band references the Designation they already hold. The goal is one system that grows with you, not five tools that all need to agree with each other.
What this means for you
These modules are scoped and ready to build — but we're building them one at a time, based on what organizations actually need first, not all five at once. If one of these would solve a real problem for your team today, that's the conversation to have with us. Tell us which one, and we'll talk through timeline and scope.
The sidebar already shows you where this is headed. We're glad to have you along for the next chapter.
