Personally, I think it depends on your goal.

If you buy land and build, you have full control over the design, the quality of materials, and how much you spend at each stage. It also gives you room to build exactly what the market wants if your plan is to rent it out or sell it later.

On the other hand, buying a finished terrace duplex saves you the stress of construction. Once the paperwork is complete, you can move in immediately or start earning rental income without waiting months or years for the project to finish.

Now, let’s talk investment.

If you’re buying for rental income, ask yourself:

* Is this location attractive to tenants?
* What are similar terrace duplexes renting for in this area?
* Is the estate well managed?
* Will this property still be in demand five or ten years from now?

Sometimes, the cheapest property isn’t the best investment.

The best investment is the one that continues to attract tenants and increase in value over time.
