I have been given between now and 16th December to complete my clearance. How much should I budget for my first year clearance?

ANSWER:
This is a topical question that is on the mind of every newly admitted student. The answer is however, straight forward. The total budget for first year clearance students should be N79,000.

Interestingly, students are often exploited by café operators and many inflate their charges to as high as N84,000. A feeble attempt is often made to justify this by attaching money to nonexistent charges or compelling students to pay for things they will still be asked to pay within their department, and at the extreme, promising such too-good-to-be-true offers as ponzi-scheme like promos. While this is likely to sway some students, common sense tells us not to spend a thousand naira on something we can do with a hundred.

NOTE: Numbers don't lie. However you twist it, 84 is greater than 79.
