Alright. Sit with me for a minute.
I’ve been meaning to tell this story for a while, but life has been busy. Now I’m on transit to Lagos, with time to think. Instead of scrolling the time away, I thought this was the right moment to finally tell how it all began.
It started with an advert.
Ended with a Silicon Valley solution.
I was in Kano, November 2025.
Late evening. Tired. On my way to my accommodation.
One hand on my phone, the other holding the weight of unfinished ideas.
Then — Google News.
An advert slid past my screen.
> “Use Gemini API with Python.”
Just a code snippet.
Simple. Quiet. Almost forgettable.
But to a builder, that’s how sparks look before they burn forests.
That night, around 2:00 AM, sleep failed me.
I opened my laptop.
Wrote a tiny Python script.
Ran it on the command line.
And then…
It spoke back.
Clean. Fast. Intelligent.
I paused.
This wasn’t just an API.
This was context.
This was conversation.
This was learning that could finally feel human.
So I pushed further.
I hacked together a rough chatbot UI.
No polish. No design. Just curiosity and caffeine.
But the idea refused to stay small.
The problem hit me hard
I’ve taught.
I’ve mentored.
I’ve watched beginners struggle.
Most platforms teach Python like a PDF with Wi-Fi.
No feedback. No context. No fire.
People don’t quit programming because it’s hard.
They quit because learning feels lonely.
That night in Kano, I decided to fix that.
Fast forward to today
That 2AM experiment became PyLearn
👉 https://pylearn.saypeace.ng
Not a course.
Not another video platform.
A gamified ecosystem for learning Python — the way builders actually learn.
Here’s what makes PyLearn different:
• Context-aware AI Tutor that understands what you’re trying to do, not just what you typed
• Gamification mechanics that make learning addictive (yes, in a good way 😌)
• Live code battles — because growth loves pressure
• Structured learning paths, not random tutorials
• Feedback that feels like a mentor, not a compiler error
What you can learn today on PyLearn
We didn’t launch halfway. We launched solid.
🔥 5 powerful tracks are live:
1. Python Foundations
2. Object-Oriented Programming
3. Data Structures & Algorithms
4. Introduction to Data Science
5. Introduction to AI & Machine Learning
Each track designed to move you from
“I think I understand” → “I can actually build this.”
Why this matters
PyLearn is for:
• Students tired of passive learning
• Developers who want structure + challenge
• Curious minds who don’t want to be left behind by AI
• Africans building for a global tech future
This is not hype.
This is lived experience turned into software.
From a Google advert
to a 2AM script
to a learning platform with soul
If you’re learning Python — or thinking about it —
this is your sign.
