At Elements we have colleagues with 16 different nationalities. That means a lot of culture, weather and food shocks when arriving in the Netherlands! Boluwatife Fakorede went through them all, as he relocated from Nigeria to work with us as a frontend developer. Learning how to ride a bike (video available), eating stroopwafels and learning the basics of Dutch, he will tell you all about it here:

David van Buiten, Back-end Developer bij Elements, bouwt mee aan het platform Melding Openbare Ruimte bij Gemeente Amsterdam. David: "Je ziet dat de code die we bouwen in dit project écht impact heeft! We helpen de gemeente haar dienstverlening naar ruim 800.000 inwoners te verbeteren én zien iedere maand de waardering van zo’n 30.000 gebruikers terug. Dit doen we o.a. met machine-learning. Hiermee classificeren we meldingen en vragen de burger om meer informatie, met als doel een optimale dienstverlening".

Makerstreet Anniversary! Een jaar geleden sloten wij ons aan bij MakerStreet, een collectief van specialistische bureaus. Het was natuurlijk een vreemd jaar en dat maakt ons nog trotser op een aantal mooie samenwerkingen. Can't wait for our next project together!

Over een kleine twee weken is het in alle gemeentes mogelijk om vervroegd te stemmen. De StembureauApp, die inmiddels door zestien gemeentes wordt gebruikt, heeft daardoor flink wat veranderingen ondergaan.
