InstaWP is a great place to develop your WaaS or SaaS!
What now? How about Wildcloud?
Let's put this in context ๐
On our wildcloud platform, web builders can instantly turn any WordPress website (new or previously built) into a WordPress application, like a SaaS or WaaS.
To make this possible, we built a containerized cloud platform that allows for Horizontal Scaling.
๐คทโโ๏ธ What's that?
To put it simply: containers are like short-lived virtual machines.
Instead of having a single VM you buy from any hosting company, we spin up a few or many cloud-based containers depending on your site traffic, product requirements, etc.
๐ตโ๐ซ Am I getting too technical?
The short of it: it's super scalable and reliable in many different ways (technical, operational, developmental, etc.)
This enables a unique feature:
๐ซถ Unified Version Control for all your sites.
-> You develop and improve 1 Version and update all your sites simultaneously.
โ
This allows you to standardize and control all your sites' code (plugins, themes, language files).
But... (and this is where LocalWP comes in): SFTP or SSH is unavailable*.
*for scalability and reliability reasons
This is easily solvable: use our API + CLI to enable local development, most commonly with LocalWP!
๐ค But some of our non-dev team members keep forgetting the commands for Command-Line.
They don't develop enough to make the CLI intuitive.
InstaWP saves the day!
๐ Install the InstaWP Connect plugin on a Version (remember, a Version controls all my WordPress sites), spend 2 mins connecting it to my InstaWP account - and voila!
You can now easily create a staging site on InstaWP, build out the product there, and push it to WPCS when ready.
๐น Weโre working on an article on our site, but please let us know if you want us to make a video tutorial too.
It's a game-changer!
