expense) getting to know eachother, and exchanging experiences,
with fellow bitcoiners & blockchainers.
Maybe we will have something to eat with knife & fork.
Possible subjects to talk about:
Blockchain, what's that? What can you do with it? Will Bitcoin stay
calm? Which new developments are in the pipeline? SegWit?
What are those cross chain replay attacks on the Ethereum hard fork and
nofork chain? How about Lightning, Thunder &
Amiko-Pay? On which chain are you?
What is consensus good for? Is code the law? Immutability? Are you
allowed to rewrite hsitory? If yes, under which circumstances? Are
bailouts allowed? Smart or dumb contract? Smart signatures?
Dex? Can Bitcoin replace or work together with smart contracts? Or are
Bitcoin payments allready enough?

The Netherlands is where early attempts to integrate cryptography with
electronic money were made by David Chaum (Chaum.com) (inventor of many
cryptographic protocols. His 1981 paper, "Untraceable Electronic Mail,
Return Addresses, and Digital Pseudonyms", laid the groundwork for the
field of anonymous communications research. For example the predecessor
of TOR: Mix networks), through his companies DigiCash (anonymous
transactions) and ecash (anonymous electronic cash system), which used
cryptography to anonymise electronic money transactions.
Baarn
Baarn is a little town near Amsterdam and houses the former residency
(Soestdijk Palace) of the Dutch Royal family. In the south bordered by
woods, in the north by polders of the former Zuiderzee. Due to good
communications to Amsterdam, the town is home to one of our the largest
Dutch Bitcoin companies & a number of boutique international firms such
as SEI Investments Company, Bain & Co and Cerberus Capital Management.
Baarn has very good transport connections: Baarn railway station, with
trains going six times an hour to Utrecht (30 minutes), Amersfoort (10
minutes) and Amsterdam (about 36 minutes).
