On Thursday, October 30, Ambassade de France en Tunisie awarded Badreddine OUALI, Vermeg Co-founder, Chairman of its Supervisory Board, and President of the Fondation Tunisie pour le Développement, The Insignia of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite 🏅 on behalf of the President of the French Republic.
This prestigious distinction celebrates the journey of a visionary entrepreneur whose commitment to employment, education, and innovation continues to transform Tunisia, and inspire far beyond its borders.
Since its creation, the Fondation Tunisie pour le Développement has become a key driver of social transformation. With the support of the French Development Agency (AFD) and Expertise France, it has already opened five training centers across Tunisia, creating over 4,500 jobs and empowering thousands of young graduates to shape their futures.
🚩 The Foundation also launched The Dot , now a flagship innovation and entrepreneurship hub, recognized as a catalyst for talent, creativity, and high-impact startups across the Tunisian ecosystem.
In his address, Badreddine Ouali reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring “every young Tunisian has the best chances to succeed, everywhere in the country.” He also saluted the strong cooperation with French institutions, announcing the upcoming opening of three new centers in Tozeur, Sidi Bouzid, and Kairouan, and the regional expansion of The Dot to strengthen its local footprint.
