We’re excited to share that a selection of demo datasets from the SmartPano Gen2 is now available online.

These datasets provide insight into the performance of our mobile mapping solutions, combining LiDAR, imagery, and precise positioning into one integrated workflow.

We are currently working on expanding this environment with additional datasets and product outputs. Demo data for the SmartPano Backpack and SmartPano Elite will be added soon, enabling users to explore even more applications.

Automated clash detection helps railway operators keep the clearance envelope along the track under control.

Vegetation grows.
Infrastructure changes.
Maintenance activities take place close to the track.

All of these can gradually reduce the available clearance space around the railway.

With our clash detection tool, based on train-based Mobile Mapping data, it becomes easy to analyse the clearance envelope along the track corridor. By slightly enlarging the digital train envelope, potential conflicts quickly become visible.

This allows operators to immediately see where potential risks exist and where action may be required, for example locations where vegetation needs trimming or objects come too close to the track.

This makes it possible to identify locations where:

✔ Vegetation needs trimming
✔ Objects or infrastructure come too close to the track
✔ Maintenance work may impact the clearance profile
✔ The free space envelope for trains is at risk

Instead of discovering these issues in the field, operators can detect them proactively across long rail corridors.

We’ve created a video demonstrating the technology in action using real railway corridor imagery, and we’ll be attending in Utrecht today.
