we are pleased to introduce the new version of Hefest Agent. Version 1.8 enhances the process of downloading incoming orders to your printers.
In some cases, when you want to speed up the download, you stop the agent and restart it to force the order download. This action can cause abnormal behavior if an interruption occurs during a file download. Therefore, we are implementing a better way to handle your orders that eliminates this issue and gives you improved control, which is especially important for your kiosk orders that need to be printed immediately. From now on, if you want to check for new orders on the server, you don't need to stop the agent. Instead, use the "Check orders" button to see if any orders are waiting.
If you want to stop the agent during an active download, the agent will ask you to confirm, and it will stop once the current image download completes. The result will be displayed in the log section.
We also added a more advanced logging system to help us better understand and maintain the process. Please watch the attached video.
