Back in 2006 during a business trip to San Jose a colleague of mine took me to a company called Streakwave. They sell Wi-Fi and other RF related devices such as Accesspoints and antennas. One of the Streakwave guys showed me their warehouse and they make me feel like a little boy in a candy store. They showed me some Ubiquiti stuff and I loved it immediately. I installed many Ubiquiti devices from then on.
One of the dives I obtained was a device called Airview2-EXT, a nifty low cost device to measure RF noise in the 2.5GHz band. I am really addicted to this device because it saved me many times from disaster. An example; a 2.5GHz wireless motion sensor generated so much RF output that it completely ruined the wireless throughput.
So far so good, however the device is EOL and no replacement is available from Ubiquiti. Also software support for this device has stopped, you can't even download the program from the Ubiquiti website anymore. If you google a little bit you will be able to download it from a other location. But now comes the horror; it does not install on Windows 7+ machines.
I adapted the installer in such a way it installs on Windows 7+. After installation the program complained the wrong java version was installed. You can change the AirView Spectrum Analyzer.ini found in the C:\Program Files\Ubiquiti Networks\AirView Spectrum Analyser folder by hand (Change Maximum Version=1.6 to Maximum Version=1.9), however I adapted the installer to automate this process as well.

Please note that Ubiquiti does not support this and neither do I.
