A techpack has everything your system needs. Getting it in is the bottleneck.

Costing, sampling, vendor briefing, all of it waits on a data entry task most teams still do by hand. Someone re-keys the whole thing from the buyer's document field by field, sizes here, fabric codes there, measurements somewhere else entirely.

It's not just slow, either. One missed measurement or wrong fabric code has a fairly direct route to a production problem.

Axind AI-Techpack-Importer reads the buyer's techpack directly. Drag it in, review what got pulled out, confirm it. The product record lands in SCM complete, ready for development, instead of getting built up piece by piece as different people find time for it.

Three vendors. Three separate capacity spreadsheets. No way to tell which one can actually take this week's order.

A rush order lands on a Tuesday. Someone needs to know, right now, who has room this month and who's already stretched thin. Instead they're opening three files, each last updated by a different person on a different day, then pinging vendors to ask what the spreadsheet should already have told them.

By the time an answer comes back, the order's gone to whoever replied first, not whoever actually had the capacity.

Axind SCM lets vendors log their own capacity by product group and month, so buying teams can see who has room before they start asking around.

Two buyer orders. Both PDFs. Nothing about them looks the same.

One buyer sends a single-page order, sizes, quantities, and pricing all in one table. Another splits the same order across four sections: a purchase order, a ticketing sheet, a packing spec, and a commercial invoice, all stitched into one PDF.

The real problem isn't PDF versus Excel. It's what's actually inside the PDF.

Axind AI-Order-Importer reads the document as it is, whatever shape a buyer chose. Drag it in, review what got pulled out, confirm it. The order lands in SCM, and a WebTnA timeline builds itself behind it.

A 40-page buyer order. Every line retyped by hand into your own system.

Then the buyer sends a revision, dropped into a fresh PDF somewhere around page 23. Someone has to notice it, and by the time they do, half the order's already been re-keyed once.

Simple Approach Ltd. used to lose hours to this on every single order. A revision meant starting the whole thing over. Now the same work takes minutes, revisions included.

90% reduction in manual data entry. Their CFO & COO, Ravi Jain, put it plainly: "It has saved us time and effort while improving both productivity and accuracy."

This is Axind AI-Order-Importer.

What's the last order revision your team almost missed?

Someone asks for an order status. You open four tabs and scroll back through a chat thread to find an answer that should take one click.

None of it's wrong, exactly. The delivery date's in an email somewhere. The revision's buried in a message thread. The actual quantity's on a spreadsheet nobody's opened since Tuesday. It's just never all in the same place when someone needs it, so you end up doing detective work on your own order.

This happens dozens of times a week, at every level of a merchandising team. Nobody planned it this way. It's just what happens when a process grows faster than the systems meant to hold it.

Axind SCM is where that detective work stops being necessary. One place, one answer, whenever someone asks.

A colourway idea used to take a week to become a decision. Brief it, wait for Photoshop or a sample to come back, look at it, start the next one.

Axind AI-Designer skips most of that wait. Ten colourway options from one reference image. A print shown at three different scales before anyone commits to a placement. A buyer asks what a fabric swap would look like, and the answer's on screen before they finish the question.

The bigger shift is downstream. Fewer directions to sample means fewer rounds. Fewer rounds means sign-off lands sooner, and sooner sign-off is what actually buys production some breathing room before a deadline gets tight.

Design was rarely the slow part by itself. Everything after it was waiting on design to be done.

The BOM error nobody catches until the sample's already cut.

Not at spec review. Not at approval. At sampling, when it's already too late to be cheap. A size range gets built off the base size's fabric consumption, and the size-specific adjustment never gets updated. Nothing looks wrong on paper, until the sample for the largest size comes back and there isn't enough fabric allocated.

By then it's a rework cycle, and a slipped date follows close behind.

Every collection carries a few of these. Axind PLM+ is built to catch them before sampling does.

One buyer order. Over 200 styles. Someone still has to type every single one into the system by hand.

Orders land as PDFs, Excel files, sometimes both. Styles, colours, sizes, deliveries, quantities, all re-keyed manually, order after order. Manageable at 50 orders a year, if tedious. At hundreds a day, every keystroke becomes a chance for an error to reach the factory floor.

ZXY International sources across five countries, Bangladesh, Türkiye, India, Pakistan, Egypt. Hundreds of buyer orders land on their desk daily, some carrying over 200 styles in a single order.

With Axind AI-Order-Importer, what used to take hours now takes minutes.

"We just need better reporting."

That's the first thing everyone reaches for once nobody trusts the numbers in the room. Someone builds another dashboard. Someone else cleans up the template for the weekly deck. None of it helps, a report only formats whatever fragmented data got fed into it.

Design works from one file. Production updates theirs Tuesday. By the time someone builds the "final" report, they're already reconciling numbers that never agreed to begin with.

That's what Axind PLM+ gives you, one connected source design, sourcing and production all work from, instead of five versions of the truth stitched together the night before.

Every designer builds a techpack a little differently.

Same brand, same season, and somehow no two techpacks are structured the same way. Multiply that inconsistency across a design team and standardisation stops being a habit and starts being a hope.

JOG Group standardised this across 60+ designers on Axind PLM+. Every techpack, whichever brand, whichever designer, reads the same way to vendors, sampling teams and costing.

Techpacks stop being a bottleneck at handoff. Read JOG Group's full story: axind.com/success-stories/how-the-jog-group-unified-three-brands-and-60-designers-on-a-single-plm/
