To make iconic work, you have to become deeply comfortable with failure.
Without failing, stumbling, doubting yourself, sweating over your work, pouring absurd amounts of energy into it, you stay either a beginner or painfully average.
You have to survive the feeling that others are better than you.
That sometimes nobody likes your work.
That honestly… nobody really cares about all the sweat and obsession fermenting behind the scenes of what you make. (What a horrible image hahaha.)
You have to get comfortable with the part that feels deeply uncomfortable.
And you need to meet the right teachers. 🥰
You need to learn and learn and learn. Because in truth, you know nothing.
I’ve been incredibly lucky with the best teachers from all over the world. Every single one brought me a little closer to myself. They taught me discipline. Persistence. How to keep going when things feel impossible. They taught me that there is always more inside of you than you think.
They taught me what it truly means to be human, and an artist, to the core.
I’m unbelievably grateful for that. 🫶🏻
P.S. My oil painting is almost finished. Today I gave her lipstick. Chanel Rouge. I’m so ridiculously happy with her.
