LAB1100

LAB1100 LAB1100 is a research and software development firm. To achieve this, LAB1100 engages itself in an early stage of the research process.

LAB1100 transforms scientific research into digital solutions, ranging from illuminating visualizations to multidisciplinary research platforms. Our aggregation and representation of scientific research provide academics with additional modes of analysis, allowing scholars to identify previously unnoticed relations and patterns. Our experts are equal peers to scholars, able to discuss research on

an elevated conceptual level. Although our work may be categorized as being part of the school of ‘digital humanities’, we do not limit ourselves to one branch of academia. The models that we develop enrich economic, social and natural sciences. The LAB1100 approach is intrinsically multidisciplinary, as we approach research from unconventional perspectives, reciprocally enhancing disciplines. The added value of the digitization process also offers new opportunities for educational material. LAB1100 facilitates the shift from textbooks to an online learning environment in an innovative and responsible way. Our products aim to prepare pupils for the challenges they face in an information-driven society. We develop smart and engaging online modules, fostering critical thinking and skill-based learning. LAB1100 offers consultancy in the field of data management, interaction design and the development of representational models of research. Our insights and perspectives will help any project in achieving maximum results from the opportunities that the digital world has to offer. Due to our expertise in both the world of software development and academic research, we have the ability to shift between vocabularies associated with these highly differentiated fields. LAB1100 was founded in 2012 by Pim van Bree and Geert Kessels and is currently located in The Hague, The Netherlands. Our clients include universities and research institutes.
