👋 Meet Lennard!

Lennard has been part of Ability since day one as its founder, and today he leads the way as our AI Lead. Driven by a natural curiosity about how things work, he helps organizations move forward with AI, focusing on real value, thoughtful design, and responsible implementation.

Outside of work, Lennard is all about movement and adventure. Whether it’s mountain biking, road cycling, or running through forests and mountains, he’s always chasing the next challenge 🚵‍♀️. His bike trips across Switzerland, Austria, and Italy with friends are the perfect mix of endurance, nature, and connection.

Family is at the heart of everything he does. As Lennard says “Traveling with my family is something I very much love. I have three children, Bo (10), Zoë (7), and Fae (4), and we’ve shared some amazing experiences together, including time in India where I felt incredibly welcomed by our team. “

Recently, Lennard completed the New Warrior training, joining a global community of over 80,000 men in a modern rite of passage - an experience that reflects his openness to growth and self-discovery.

💡 Fun fact? He thrives in a bit of chaos, has a dog named Jan (yes, just like his colleague ), and loves apenkoppen.

It was a pleasure welcoming Balvir from our Ludhiana branch to the Goa office, along with his family.
Beyond connecting with the team, he explored Goa’s beautiful beaches, cultural landmarks, and local cuisine, making it a truly memorable visit.

📢 Meet Bart - our Software Architect since September 2017!
Based in Amersfoort, where he lives with his girlfriend Rianna and their cat, Bowser, Bart is always up for learning something new - whether it’s a framework or a new recipe.

When he’s not deep into exploring new tech, you’ll probably find him out and about doing pretty much anything active: from korfbal (also coaching it), strength training to basketball in the park, kitesurfing, MTB, or occasionally climbing with our colleague Marcel.

Outside the sports world, Bart’s also into photography, cooking, music, and discovering new places.
💡 Fun fact: Bart’s only real job application ever wasn’t even to Smartshore - yet here he is!
