Last month the exhibition the Mystery of the Girl in Blue opened in the in Haarlem. 🩵 In this exhibition the beautiful painting of the ‘Girl in Blue’ by Johannes Verspronck, normally shown at the , was reunited with two portraits of her parents from the collection of . For this unique occasion we designed the exhibition, showcasing not only the family of three, but also an extensive research into her (still unknown) identity by researcher Frans Grijzenhout. 

The Mystery of the Girl in Blue is on show until the 11th of October in the Frans Hals Museum Haarlem.

We’re proud to share two of our projects have been selected as finalists in the 60th ADCN Awards .

The visual identity for the Nederlands Fotomuseum is nominated in the branding category, and our exhibition design for No Place for Traitors at Kamp Amersfoort was selected in the spatial category. Many thanks to everyone involved, and looking forward to the award ceremony on the 7th of May!

Some detailed shots of Situations by .

Wouter’s process is both meticulous and intuitive, which is reflected in the productional qualities of the book. The interior photographs of the book are printed in tritone (three colours of black), consisting of black + PMS 403 grey + skeleton black to create a deep contrast and rich black tones. This treatment gives Wouter’s photographs a soft and tactile touch, to truly make it feel as if you were present during these fleeting moments. 

The book is bound with a Swiss binding with a 4 page black paper cover with image crops printed in silver, giving a glimpse into parts and details of the photo’s that show how ordinary situations contain such special elements. 

Finally the book is wrapped in a linen pressed dust-jacket which is printed on both sides with a positive and diapositive render of the same image.

‘Capturing extraordinary moments in ordinary situations’

Rather than freezing decisive or dramatic events, Wouter van Solinge turns his lens toward subtle human gestures and fleeting interactions—moments that are in motion, without clear beginnings or endings. Through his approach the vulnerability, distance, and quiet connections that shape our daily lives are revealed. Wouter finds beauty not in spectacle, but in the unnoticed fragments that make us human. His work gently reminds us that these subtle, unremarkable moments are where life truly happens.

Situations is a curated selection of 94 black-and-white photographs spanning five decades. The book is not just a simple chronology of Wouters’ body of work: instead an image edit was created that would accentuate the timeless nature of our behaviour. This approach results in image combinations from various decades, shot with both analogue and digital camera’s.

We recently designed and produced a new exhibition for named ‘No Place for Traitors’.

In May 1945, after the liberation from N**i occupation, Dutch society sought to purge collaborators and N**i ideology, while attempting to prevent acts of revenge against ‘traitors’. Suddenly, large numbers of suspects were detained in former concentration camps, and former prisoners were liberated. Yet conditions inside the camps had hardly changed, causing the lines between right and wrong to blur.

This inversion between ‘captive and free’ served as the core concept for the exhibition design. Both prisoners and their guards are portrayed as blurred, life-size figures placed on large opaque panels, allowing visitors to roam between inside and outside, captive and free. The effect created through the chosen materials allows visitors to become a blurred silhouette in the story as well, constantly switching perspective between victim and perpetrator.

14 selected stories pose a direct question, such as “Should love be punishable?” or “Is it justified to use abuse during war to prevent worse?” These dilemmas form the basis of the game “Over the Line,” designed for individuals or groups to play within the exhibition. Through these topics the emotional and often confusing postwar situation in the camp comes to life. Together they pose ethical questions which demonstrate how difficult it is to restore the rule of law as it clashes with the societal call for revenge.

The exhibition is a new and fresh insight into an often overlooked complex historical period, and serves as a warning sign in our own times where these same institution and rule of law are under more and more pressure.

The new visual identity for ‘A new home for Photography’.

In 2025 relocated to a new space and with this change they also set out to reposition the institute, re-thinking and designing their vision and communication. Claiming a place on the main stage of international photography.

The main selling point of the move and re-branding is the impressive warehouse Santos. This monument dating back to 1901 comprises of 7 stories, with a contemporary addition on top, a metal crown standing proud in the vibrant Katendrecht district of Rotterdam. We wanted the new visual identity to quite literally visualise their new location as ‘A New House of Photography’. The new logo uses the contours of Santos as a frame to capture photography/imagery. With the buildings signature crowned roof as a visual que and a firm foundation underlining ‘Fotomuseum’.

This graphic language can expand from a corporate logo to a framework that holds visuals and information. Showcasing talent, exhibitions and portraying the several floors of the building. At the same time these bold lines underline texts and divide title, artist and secondary information, giving a visually recognizable element a practical function.

The result is a clear and concise visual language that is flexibel and can be transformed into anything from campaign images to corporate communication, signing/routing, publications, online assets and merchandising. A contemporary visual whole that makes its mark and can develop even further over the coming years.

‘Farming and food, far off and close by’

is a platform for stories from all over the world about farmers and growers that show producing food in collaboration with nature not only creates healthy products and honest livelihoods but tends the cultivated landscape and makes the soil and the surrounding natural environment healthier and more robust.

Photographer Ruud Sies and producer Hanneke van Hintum visit enterprises large and small, telling stories about exemplary and inspiring examples of a new way of farming. These stories take the form of photo reports and videos as well as the written word, and they form the basis for presentations, exhibitions, publications and collaborations with companies, governments, and cultural and educational institutions. At the core of this is resiliencefoodstories.com, which combines all of their findings and experiencing in one database full of inspiring and insightful content.

Housing more than 120 stories, the website strikes a balance between imagery and editorial storytelling giving proper context and richness to the photographic reports.

Tonight will open it’s doors! And with it the newly designed permanent exhibition Gallery of Honour which fills the entire first floor of Santos. Together with the museum’s team we worked on this for 1,5 years and are so proud to have been a part in this!

The 99 photographs in the new installation of the Gallery of Honour are each more than special in terms of artistic and social qualities. Together they form a timeline of 180 years of photography from the Netherlands. From the daguerreotypes of the 19th century via the mid 20th century masterpieces by Eva Besnyö and Ed van der Elsken to the contemporary works of and .

LMNOP developed both the spatial and graphic design for the new installation of the Gallery of Honor. The spatial concept places the works on individual carriers in a dynamic floorplan that presents itself as a transparant maze, enabling visual connections throughout history. In addition to the exhibited photographs a centrally positioned timeline offers insights and context about the 180 year history of photography. The spatial design of the timeline was developed in collaboration with Bureau Caspar Conijn. The overall construction of the exhibition was executed by .amsterdam Also a big thank you to the museum’s projectmanager Heske Dam and Peter Romkema who is responsible for the lighting.

From tonight all exhibition in the museum including the gallery are open to see!
