At 3,000 meters above sea level, Cabane du Glacier de Tortin is one of Europe’s highest privately owned cabins — and one of its most remote. Perched high in the Swiss Alps on a rugged outcrop surrounded by razor-sharp peaks, it redefines what it means to build, live, and find shelter in the harshest of environments. Mission has developed a visual identity for the new exhibition center “Ocean Stories” that opens this week in Honningsvåg. In collaboration with the , Mission has developed a comprehensive visual identity and a modern digital platform to present their impressive art collection. The collection includes iconic works from the Norwegian Golden Age of painting and reflects the country’s rich art history. Through this solution, the cultural treasures are made accessible to a wide audience in an engaging and intuitive way.

“For us, it was important that the digital platform should provide other access to the artworks. The website allows users to zoom in on brushstrokes, explore textures and colors. This creates a unique interactive experience that brings the art closer to the viewer, no matter where he or she is,” says Jørgen Larsson, curator of the Grieg Art Collection.

The website design has been carefully crafted to reflect the Grieg Foundation’s values and aesthetics, while maintaining the flexibility to present different art forms. The visual expression balances elegance and usability, ensuring that both artistic and technological aspects merge into a harmonious whole.

The solution combines technology and design to give art new life in the digital space, and invites the audience to experience art in a whole new way.

Quality without compromise

Design of new visual identity for Skuna Bay.
Skuna Bay is a Grieg Seafood company, offering premium quality salmon to the North American market. A product appreciated by top restaurants, leading chefs and premium retail stores. The salmon is farmed in natural surroundings outside Vancouver, BC, Canada, and cared for by the most experienced salmon farmers.

Until 2023, Skuna Bay salmon was only available to the professional chef, but with the desire to offer the same quality product to the consumer, there was a need to build a brand that could match this venture.

The visual identity reflects the product itself by being stylish, elegant and stripped of unnecessary "additives". Salmon is a photogenic product, and we wanted to let it speak for itself by creating a series of images. Art Direction by us and shot by Tommy Andresen. With a minimalist color palette based on white and black, we let the images of the fish and delicious dishes speak for themselves. The result is a visual identity that stands out from the competition and creates a solid foundation for making an entry into the kitchens of those who appreciate good quality, whether at home or in a professional kitchen.
