Successfully completed the installation of our greenhouse automation system at Nuwakot Bagbani.

Recently we completed an IoT enabled cold storage setup for Madi Kisan Bazar, designed mainly for fresh vegetables and short term storage.

This system is made keeping practical use in mind, especially where the door opens frequently during loading and unloading. The controller monitors temperature, humidity and dew point, and keeps the room condition stable for better freshness of vegetables.

Another small but important step from Thoplo Machine toward smart post-harvest storage and reducing vegetable loss.

Installed: Bed-wise Sensor-Based Irrigation and Fertigation Trial System at NARC Horticulture.

Today we completed another automatic irrigation system installation at NARC Horticulture, this one is for irrigation and fertigation trial where total 5 beds are there and each bed has its own dedicated soil sensor and dedicated irrigation control, so every bed can be monitored separately and irrigation can be done based on actual soil condition of that bed, not by guessing or fixed timing.

We also installed ambient temperature, humidity and dew point sensor inside the structure, so the trial can also record climate condition along with soil data. This kind of setup will be very useful for research and trial work because each bed can give different data and response, which help to compare irrigation and fertigation result more clearly.

When Temperature Control Protects Lives: IoT Monitoring Installed at TU Lions Blood Bank
Reliable blood storage needs continuous monitoring — every minute matters.
We recently installed Thoplo Machine’s IoT-based Data Logger and Alarm System at TU Lions Blood Bank to monitor both Red Blood Cell and Plasma storage.

The system is configured with safe alarm ranges:
Red Blood Cell: 1°C to 8°C
Plasma: –40°C to –18°C

It includes local data storage, cloud logging, buzzer alarm, and email alerts whenever the temperature goes beyond the safe range.
Maintaining the right temperature is very important in blood banks. If plasma is exposed to higher temperatures for a longer time, important clotting factors can be affected. Similarly, red blood cells may become unsuitable if proper storage conditions are not maintained.

A simple upgrade, but a meaningful step toward better drying and stronger local value addition.
A few days ago, we had the opportunity to upgrade a dryer unit at Galdha Social Entrepreneur Women’s Cooperative Ltd. in Nisdi Rural Municipality. It was meaningful for us to contribute to a women-led cooperative promoted by Heifer Nepal.

Previously, the dryer was not performing effectively because the structure was not properly sealed, the airflow was not well managed, and the system depended heavily on manual operation. Because of this, the drying process was not as reliable as it should have been.

In this upgrade, we improved the top covering, made the structure better sealed, arranged a proper air inlet and outlet path, and also added support for night-time and high-humidity operation.

Now, the dryer is much more practical, controlled, and effective. We are happy to contribute in a small way to making the cooperative’s work more reliable and efficient.
