Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus (COVID-19)
1. Wash your hands frequently
Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.
2. Maintain social distancing
Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Why? When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.
3.Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
Why? Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.
4. Practice respiratory hygiene
Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
Why? Droplets spread virus. By following good respiratory hygiene you protect the people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19.
5. If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.
Why? National and local authorities will have the most up to date information on the situation in your area. Calling in advance will allow your health care provider to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This will also protect you and help prevent spread of viruses and other infections.
6. Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider
Stay informed on the latest developments about COVID-19. Follow advice given by your healthcare provider, your national and local public health authority or your employer on how to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.
Why? National and local authorities will have the most up to date information on whether COVID-19 is spreading in your area. They are best placed to advise on what people in your area should be doing to protect themselves.

How secure is your Facebook?

Well, stick with us,and you will probably get some juice out of this.

There are plenty of ways, hackers can hack your FB account. As Facebook keeps its security upto date from it's side,so its quite difficult for hacker to exploit it.

However, you might not be the lucky one. With the increasing techniques for social engineering, hacker can easily find ways to manipulate and exploit your vulanrability.

So ,what can you do to be Secure?

Well,First thing, never give your password to any other sites. Even when you see a site named facebook.com ,it may not be facebook, coz hacker might use DNS poisoning to redirect to their Cloned Site.

To be sure, always check the connection is "https" and not "http" (notice the missing 's').

Never use Free wifi, you might be pleased to see free wifi and eagerly update your FB status. However the Wifi might be Setup by Hackers to analyze your data.
Even if the Wifi name is Official its not a difficult task for hacker to open a hotspot with that name. Open wifi are very vulnarable as they donot use encryption to protect your data.

Never give FB password to Any Application other than Facebook's own App.
Any App asking your FB password is a trap by hackers.

To be safe ,donot install app from unverified developers or sites.

Lastly ,don't use birthday as your password :) :)

There are other 100 ways of social engineering, but you upto now ,this should get your back.

Create an account or log into Facebook. Connect with friends, family and other people you know. Share photos and videos, send messages and get updates.

The Heartbleed bug
Heartbleed is a security bug in the OpenSSL cryptography library, which is a widely used implementation of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. It was introduced into the software in 2012 and publicly disclosed in April 2014. Heartbleed may be exploited regardless of whether the party is using a vulnerable OpenSSL instance for TLS as a server or a client. It results from improper input validation (due to a missing bounds check) in the implementation of the TLS heartbeat extension,[3] thus the bug's name derives from heartbeat.[4] The vulnerability is classified as a buffer over-read,[5] a situation where more data can be read than should be allowed.[6]

Heartbleed is registered in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures database as CVE-2014-0160.[5] The federal Canadian Cyber Incident Response Centre issued a security bulletin advising system administrators about the bug.[7] A fixed version of OpenSSL was released on April 7, 2014, on the same day Heartbleed was publicly disclosed.

As of May 20, 2014, 1.5% of the 800,000 most popular TLS-enabled websites were still vulnerable to Heartbleed.[8]

TLS implementations other than OpenSSL, such as GnuTLS, Mozilla's Network Security Services, and the Windows platform implementation of TLS, were not affected because the defect existed in the OpenSSL's implementation of TLS rather than in the protocol itself.[9]

LAPTOPS TIPS #6

Upgrading your laptop storage from Harddisk to SSD?

Well, before you upgrade ,you might want to consider few things.

The question,"upgrading from HDD to SSD",assumes you are replacing your Harddisk with SSD that means* you are using SATA.

Well, here is few things about SATA you might not know.
-SATA uses one PCIe(gen 2) that has max speed of 600Mbps and practically will maxout around 500Mbps. Which is indeed far less than what your SSD might be capable of.

Well, what I am trying to tell is there is a new way of adding SSD using M.2 that most new Laptop features.

M.2 ,what's the big deal?

Well,M.2 uses 4 PCIe lanes and is capable of max speed upto 2Gbps (gen 2) and upto 4Gbps (gen 3),and any general SSD can give speed around 1Gbps . And also ,M.2 is a separate port,so you don't have to remove Harddisk to install SSD in M.2 slot.

So,if you are upgrading from HDD to SSD,you might want to search for M.2 thing in your laptop,if it has one ,you can throw any SSD in there. And if it hasn't ,you might want to reconsider your budget, the performance you get from SATA and also your Harddisk that will soon be heading to junkyard.

LAPTOPS TIPS #5

How much Graphics?
-Well,let's dig a bit deeper. Despite of Graphics Card manufacturer, every Graphics have certain memory *(Reffered as VRAM),which function is to store Frames that will be supplied to the Display. Let's add little math:
let you have 200MB Graphics VRAM,
if you are playing a game at 100 FPS(Frame per second) in HD and if the size of each frame is 1 MB then you need 100MB of Graphics VRAM. Well if you play the same game in Full HD ,then the size of each frame is 3MB so you need at least 300MB of VRAM to play the game at 100FPS but you only have 200MB of VRAM,so the system will decrease the FPS to about 80 to store them in VRAM,which will ultimately slow the game.
Now,to the verdict:Generally there are two graphics i.e. Integrated Graphics(That comes with processor) and dedicated Graphics(like Nvidia and AMD) that you have to buy. If you are a gamer or use CAD or some 3D stuff or some video editing, you might need a dedicated Graphics, But if you are general consumer that only play light games then intergarted graphics can handle it.
And if you need dedicated Graphics, the size fo VRAM depends on how intense your task is...
