Newaonlinenews, the news portal in Nepal Bhasa, was developed in 2014 in Drupal CMS. Initially, finding a reliable server posed a challenge, and the one we selected frequently experienced downtime, much to the frustration of our client. In search of a more dependable server in Nepal, our client turned to Microsoft Azure. However, due to limitations in creating MySQL databases, our efforts were thwarted. Consequently, the news portal endured years of instability on the initial server, disrupting our days and nights.

Subsequently, we migrated the portal to a friend's reliable server, albeit a shared one accommodating numerous WordPress sites. The transition proved arduous, particularly due to the huge database. Hours were spent transferring data. The vulnerability of improperly configured WordPress installations of other shared sites led to a security breach, resulting in the hacking of our news portal.

In the interim, while awaiting another server solution, we found ourselves frequently cleaning injected files to mitigate the effects of the breach. Eventually, the original hosting provider claimed to have improved their server infrastructure, prompting us to take the risk of returning to them. Once again, we faced the daunting task of transferring vast amounts of data.

Thankfully, the server's performance stabilized in 2018, providing relief. However, due to cost considerations, we ultimately migrated the news portal to another stable hosting server. Reflecting on this experience, it stands out as one of the most enduring and challenging server-related endeavors we've encountered.
