Archival project: Originally named after the 10th Roman numeral decem, December has now metamorphosed and mutated into the 12th month of the year.

B&F Paper’s Months Made Modern: A couple of years ago we created a series of collages based around the hidden oddities of the calendar for . The modern day Roman calendar dates back centuries and has often experienced a history of evolution and metamorphosis. The origins of each month are rarely discussed and often forgotten. Archival: Our Modular brand identity for Cite’s bespoke, New Zealand made furniture range. Reflective of Le Corbusier’s Modular scale system, we built the logo as a modular unit. Echoing the furniture system, it features two layouts; adaptable to its environment.

Archival: Our clients Cite developed an exclusive commercial furniture range, Modular, designed and made in New Zealand. We worked in close partnership with Cite to develop a brand identity to reflect the design ethos behind the range. Embracing the brands namesake, Le Corbusier’s Modular anthropometric scale system, we adapted the system into the basis for a typographic grid. From this we created a custom modernist typeface, forming the basis for the brands logo.

Libby’s Pork Crack: As just one extension of the concept, collages were created in homage to Keith Haring’s artwork for the Hip Hop classic, Duck Rock. Recalling early low-fi animated Hip Hop videos, these were then stop-frame animated. Early Hip Hop was full of vibrant clashing colours, which we in turn flowed through illustrations echoing street graffiti.

Libby’s Pork Crack: We also evolved the brands mascot, Piggy Smalls. Throughout the packaging he comes to life while playfully MC’ing and breakdancing. And as a final but prominent detail he appears in a burst of accent colour on flavour stickers, tailored to each flavour with classic Hip Hop accessories.
