6TH PLACE OVERALL! WHAT A LEGEND!

I’ve never been so excited about watching backstroke! 🤷‍♀️😂. Maraetai local Amber George just made the 50m Final in the Commonwealth Games!

The women's 50m backstroke final is scheduled to be raced tomorrow morning, Wednesday, 29 July 2026, at approximately 6:50am NZST with coverage starting from 6am.

Don’t miss it on Sky Sport or streaming live and free to air on ThreeNow.

She’s worked so hard to get there and deserves our support! Show them how it’s done Amber!!! 💪🥇

IT'S NEW WEBSITE FRIDAY!

Our latest site for local 21 year old NZ swimming representative, Amber George has gone live.

Amber's competing in backstroke at the Commonwealth Games in a few weeks, so I'm certainly going to be cheering her on from my living room.

Her story is an inspiring one.

Amber's journey to the world stage wasn't instant. She wasn’t the swimmer making every junior team or following the usual age-group pathway.

Although her path was slower, less certain and, at times, a lot more challenging, she kept showing up, training hard and never giving up. Through pure grit, determination and a passion for her sport, she's made it this far.

She is the daughter of one of my long-standing clients, Rhys from Contab Stainless, so I was really happy to be asked to put her site together and make it something she can be proud of.

As you can imagine, competing in any sport at an international level is hugely expensive and it's all self-funded... the travel, the gear, the accommodation... everything. It's tough!

I have a bit to say about AI ads…

I understand that not everyone has design skills. I also understand that AI seems like an amazing solution, and it’s very important to tell everyone everything about your business in one single image.

It’s not.

Stand out from the crowd by NOT doing that. Be authentic, be genuine, be you.

I mean, look what AI did to the first image of me?! I look nothing like that!!! 🤷‍♀️
