Position Title
Electrician/ Electrical Service Technician
Reports To
Service Supervisor/ Manager
Position Summary
The primary role of the Electrician is to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical equipment, wiring, sub boards, power outlets and Commercial Kitchen and Laundry appliances for AAN Electronics, in accordance with the standards prescribed and agreed between the client and AAN Electronics.
Job holder’s requirements
The role requires staff to perform a number of physical activities including manual handling and lifting, bending, digging, using heavy equipment and may require incumbents to stand for lengthy periods and work in hot and noisy environments. As such, staff must be physically fit to perform the role.
Staff will be supplied with a company vehicle and mobile phone to carry out the role. The Electrician/Electrical Service Technician will also be expected to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and adhere to AAN standards of safety and cleanliness.
The Electrician/Electrical Service Technician will receive direction from the Service Supervisor and Manager, but will be required to perform most duties largely unsupervised so must be responsible and self reliant when carrying out their daily duties. The position require an individual with the willingness to work flexible hours and an ability to manage their own time in order to meet deadlines.
Qualifications and experience
Qualifications and training
Qualified current NZ registered and full licensed Electrician/ Electrical Service Technician.
A driver's license will be required for this role
If staff are required to obtain qualifications to perform other duties then AAN will provide training to ensure staff will be able to perform these duties safely and to the required standard.
Experience
At least 3 years demonstrable post trade experience working in a Commercial / Industrial environment HVAC controls or Commercial Appliance experience (preferable)
Previous experience working in a building maintenance position involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules
Other
All staff are required to undergo and pass a medical assessment to ensure they are ‘fit for work’ prior to commencing work with AAN Electronics Systems Limited.
Working at heights, in ceiling spaces and under floors and equipment will be necessary with this position. Further environmental factors include extremes of heat, cold and dirty environments.
All staff are required to undergo a Police check prior to commencing work with AAN Electronics Systems Limited.
