To say the future of this wonderful whenua is to go back to extractive industries and the dangerous and the inherently dirty business of mining, is such a denial of the power of this country to produce great technology and innovation.

This bill, if enacted, takes us back to the 1950's or before. Invest in technology that saves species, Aotearoa is a world leader, invest in technology that reduces the awful carbon footprint of our largest industries, invest in talent and youth and innovation. Leave mining and drilling in the coffin it deserves, regardless of the benefits to the sectional interests represented by New Zealand First. Christopher Luxon, grow strength, show real leadership. I know Primus inter pares is not CEO, but show leadership.
