Last Night the Team had a near Perfect start to the 2021 Goodyear Autocare V8 T2 E-Series with MFR Drivers picking up both pole position and the Win in round 1 of the series on the streets of Longbeach.

Kye Sloggett lead the way in Qualifying Putting his MFR Commodore on Pole Position, then lead the way for a large portion of the race until an ill timed safety car cost him and his race strategy dearly dropping down the field and ultimately getting caught in some incidents that ended his race, Daniel Stevens played his strategy perfectly & picked up the lead and was never headed taking a fantastic win on debut in the Series.

The Teams other drivers had their fair share of bad luck in a bruising race but all showed the potential to be up the front if not for a bit of bad luck and are already firmly focused on a bit of redemption in round 2.

Race Results
1st Daniel Stevens
8th Dean Alessi
11th Darryl Hockey
12th Jonathan Behn
22th Danny Vassall
23rd Peter Latham
DNF Kye Sloggett
DNF Colin Bruns

**Podium for MFR**

Thursday night would see a small contingent of the team head to Watkins Glen for the first round of Season 7 of the V8 Veterans Series, with a mini enduro of 300km to start the season.

Looking to start the season off on a high were Gavin C***s and Peter Latham. Early practice would see Gavin inside the top three, whilst Peter would chip away at his race pace as the session progressed.

Qualifying wouldn’t quite go to plan with Gavin scoring a 7th place start, whilst Peter would manage to place the Luqui Moly Commodore in 20th.

A turn one, lap one bump wouldn’t unsettle Gavin as he would have all eye’s forward as he went from 7th to 4th by the first pit stop. From there he would move forward one more position to secure the last spot on the podium in a great start to the his campaign. Peter would similarly have a great race and move from 20th on the grid to finish just outside the top ten in 13th.

Here's how the MFR drivers fared on Thursday night:

Gavin C***s
Qualifying: 7th
Race: 3rd

Peter Lathham
Qualifying: 20th
Race: 13th

**Victory for Kye at Watkins**

Round 6 of the GAC V8T2 E-Series last night would visit the famous Watkins Glen circuit, situated in up-state New York.

Again MFR would have a strong presence and with that the likelihood that one of our speedsters would produce a solid result. And last night was no exception, with Kye Turner showing consistent speed and grit to bring the Liqui Moly Commodore home on the top step of the podium.

Rounding out a fantastic night for the team was Daniel Stevens in 5th, Daryl Hockey 6th and series debutant Troy Allen in 7th. Not too far outside the top 10 was Dean Alessi in 13th, Danny Vassall in 16th and Colin Bruns in 17th.

To have all 7 cars inside the top 17 is a testament to how much as a team the guys have stepped it up this season.

Here's how the MFR drivers fared last night:

Kye Turner
Qualifying: 3rd
Race: 1st

Daniel Stevens
Qualifying: 4th
Race: 5th

Darryl Hockey
Qualifying: 12th
Race: 6th
