Imagine thinking you’re simply going on a scenic helicopter flight over Auckland… and then THIS happens. 💍🚁

Ruwan planned an unforgettable surprise proposal for Anabel, flying by helicopter to the incredible clifftops overlooking Bethells Beach on Auckland’s west coast.

With sweeping ocean views, dramatic cliffs and the entire location feeling like it was just theirs, he got down on one knee and asked the most important question.

And she said YES. 🤍

Helicopter proposals are one of my favourite ways to propose in Auckland. They’re an incredible experience in themselves, completely private once you land, and give you some of the most spectacular backdrops for your proposal photos afterwards.

Proof that your wedding doesn’t have to be big to feel incredibly special. 🤍

Tracey & Kyle chose an intimate Auckland wedding with just 36 of their closest family and friends, and the entire day felt relaxed, elegant and completely *them*.

We started at their home in Morningside with getting-ready photos and a first look with their family before heading into the city for portraits — from the iconic Morningside mural and train tracks to the beautiful Parnell Rose Gardens.

Then it was on to Sid at The French Cafe for their ceremony and celebration.

It was intimate, personal and filled with so much love — exactly the kind of wedding that proves you can forget about what a wedding is “supposed” to look like and simply create a day that feels right for you.

Family photos with a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old? Expect cuddles, exploring, little legs running everywhere and plenty of beautiful in-between moments. 🤍

This gorgeous family of four joined me at One Tree Hill in Auckland for their family photos, and rather than worrying about getting two little girls to sit perfectly and smile at the camera, we let them be exactly who they are.

We played, explored, cuddled Mum and Dad and captured all those little interactions that make this stage of family life so special.

Because your family photos don't need to be perfect — they need to feel like *your family*.

These little girls are going to grow and change so quickly, but Mum and Dad will always have photographs that bring them right back to this season. 🥹

Akhila & Hair’s engagement shoot was all about embracing the city — wandering the streets, finding beautiful pockets of light and letting Auckland become part of their story.

I love engagement sessions like this because they don’t need to feel overly posed or formal. It’s simply time together, a little exploring, plenty of laughing and beautiful photographs that actually feel like *you*.

From graduation celebrations to the final moments of an incredible day in Auckland. 📸

I recently had the opportunity to photograph ANZCA’s event at the New Zealand International Convention Centre, capturing the day from beginning to end.

From the graduation ceremony and proud graduates to the speakers, guests, venue details and everything happening in between — event photography is about telling the full story, not simply documenting what happens on stage.

And what a way to finish the day, with Auckland’s iconic Sky Tower lit up with ANZCA branding. ✨

A sunset proposal, a beautiful lake view and the easiest YES. 💍✨

Jason planned the most intimate surprise proposal for Vicky at The Boathouse Row in Auckland, and the evening could not have been more perfect.

With the sun setting over the water and the venue completely private for their moment, Jason got down on one knee and asked Vicky to marry him — and I was there to capture everything as it happened.

This is exactly why I love proposal photography. The nerves beforehand, the surprise, the reaction and those first few minutes of realising **you’re engaged!**
